“And this year’s Best Nataraj Award goes to…” The MC paused dramatically, fueling the crowd’s already heightened anticipation. The entire gallery erupted into cheers and whistles, certain of who would claim the prestigious award this year.
“Pond Naravit Lertratkosum for his incredible performance in Magic of Eyes!” the MC announced enthusiastically, the fans' roaring cheers shaking the auditorium.
Pond’s manager, Jack, immediately pulled him into a congratulatory hug. “Congratulations, Pond! You’ve done it!”
But Pond only rose from his seat with a stiff, professional smile plastered on his face—his smile devoid of any genuine emotion. It was the same empty mask he had perfected over the years.
“Phi, at least give them a real smile. Everyone's waiting for your bright, toothy grin,” Gemini whispered with a gentle nudge, trying to lighten Pond’s mood. He was one of the few who knew Pond’s real emotions, buried deep beneath his public facade.
Pond walked to the stage with quick but heavy steps, his heart a mixture of triumph and hollowness. As he reached the podium, he bowed to the cheering crowd, his mind racing, searching for words.
“Thank you, everyone,” he began his acceptance speech, holding the award tightly. “I am truly grateful to my fans, my colleagues, and my friends who have supported me throughout my career. I wouldn’t be here without you all.”
His voice wavered, the pre-rehearsed words sounding hollow even to him. He swallowed, the weight of something heavier pressing down on him. His eyes scanned the crowd, searching for a face he knew wouldn’t be there.
“But,” Pond’s voice broke, and he forced himself to continue. “There’s one person who deserves more than anyone… someone who sacrificed everything for me… someone I hurt… someone I…” His breath caught, his eyes filled with a sadness he couldn’t hide any longer. “I have no hesitation anymore. I don’t care about what comes next. I’m not afraid to claim what’s mine.”
The crowd gasped as Pond suddenly dropped to one knee, his tears uncontrollable. The entire gallery fell into stunned silence.
“Phuwin Tangsakyuen…” Pond choked out, his voice filled with pain and raw emotion. “I know I failed you. I couldn’t protect you when it mattered the most. You sacrificed your dreams for me, for my career, and I repaid you with nothing but disappointment. Two years ago, I made the worst mistake of my life, and you silently bore the consequences. You deserve so much more than that…I lost you, don't even know where you are..”
Tears streamed down his face, but he didn’t care. He had carried this guilt for far too long, and he couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“I know I hurt you, but I don’t care anymore about standing here at the top if I can’t have you by my side. I’m sorry to my fans if this disappoints them, but the person I need more than anything in this world is you, Phuwin Tangsakyuen. Will you give me a second chance? Will you please come back to me ?”
Pond’s voice cracked as he finished, his eyes scanning the crowd again, knowing Phuwin wasn’t there to see this desperate, heartfelt plea. His professional facade was gone, leaving only a broken man kneeling on the stage, baring his soul to the world.

In the audience, Gemini leaned over to Fourth, eyes wide in shock. “Well, damn… that was unexpected. He finally got bold,” Gemini whispered.
“If only he’d been that half of this bold two years ago, maybe none of this would’ve happened,” Fourth replied, shaking his head as he watched Pond, a crying mess in front of thousands of people.
