"A kiss is lethal. Its a gateway drug to falling inlove. Avoid at all cost" Renn heard the same argument all over again from Niko and Aly.

___

Weaving through the haze of the hallway's crowd. Trying to chase Lauren's arm, wanting the contact, as she walks through the embarrassing walk of shame and to the exit, made Courenn feel strangely scared of the attention and the way Lau was dragging her to her fear of embarrassment like she wants her to land head straight onto.

"Margaux.." They ran outside, stomping with a plastered frown on their faces. Today's a Lucky day huh? Lauren looked up and they were met by a downpour that left the whole city drenched. The streets smelled petrichor, a poetic call to maybe getting soaked wet and fertilized.

Or something equally stupid that made an imatture move, Courenn pulled Lauren's arm , pulling her close to her body.

"Ano ba" Lau gasped louder than intended, as Renn dragged them towards a closed lomi place at the corner, which provided better shelter just few spaces down the campus. Renn didnt release Lau's hand until they reached the cover.

"Talk to me" Renn immediately checked over her lover, unable to stop herself when she smoothed Lau's hair from her face.

"What do you want me to do Amaia? Ano ba gusto mong maramdaman ko? you denied me, our relationship to everybody?"

"I'm scared Lau.. of many things.."

"Seriously??" A hand painfully hit Courenn across her stomach making her wince.

They stood there taking the sittuation. Renn moved closer. "you don't understand.. i want you, i want us but im scared of them" She explained under her breath, pointing at nowhere.

There was so much unsaid in between them. The anger subsided but the throbbing desire of telling each other how they love them, and Courenn could tangibly feel the want in her chest. They weigh, like a heavy pinch in the chest.
Like missing something that both of them should admit.

The Older's hand unclenched, not realizing it had been tightly latched on Lauren's arm since earlier, She breathed out managing the ache on her chest. She was unsure of how to move forward. All she knew was that she wanted more, as always.

"I'll book a cab for you" There was less of a rush around them, Courenn's comment seeming like just a dangled excuse to continue conversation or end it?

When she heard no response from the other, Renn's eyes gazed onto the dancing lights of the streets. Her stare feverish, a stark contrast to the softness of her face.

"Sure" Margaux, quietly responded.. Courenn's breathing matched the rise and fall of her chest. Seemingly trying to ignore the rage she's feeling.

They watched few kids run across the street from one of the elementary school's near them, braving the rains. They aimlessly scrambled under one roof or another, finding better shelter and trying to flag passing jeeps and buses.

They silently hovered towards each other as the rain fell around them. The usual line outside the rain fall around them. The usual crowd outside the university gates, waiting for their own cars or cabs to pick them up. There was something calming about the whole-thing of life slowly giving them the privacy of quiet and waiting for the rain to start dictating what they could do.
