Wei wuxian turn to lan yi and smile
"I will get going now" he said and hug lan yi, who hug him back and pat his back.

Wei wuxian started to go from there towards the cold spring. Lan yi started at his retreating figure and mumbled to herself.

"I hope this time everything will be good and no one have to sacrifice"

"Sacrifice? But why?" Jin ching asked.

"We didn't know any kind of sacrifice happened in our parents generation" lan jingyi exclaimed looking equally confused. They know a big blood sheed war happened but sacrifice, they don't know.

Shizui look at his parents sadly and squeezed his mother hand lightly. Which he got a pat back on his palm from his mother.

Lan wangji don't know why but from the time they are here and the way juniors behaved with wei wuxian and now the sacrifice things were making him feel very restless and uneasy. Soon he reach near a place where the  surrounding seems to be a bit cold. The cloud recesses is cold than any other clan but this place feels more cold. He knows that he is near the cold spring.

He was walking and looking around and seeing things that have changed.
Although the Cloud Recesses had been burnt down before the "Sunshot Campaign" happened, the rebuilt structure of the area was the same. Wei WuXian walked through the winding paths from memory, and soon found the cold spring, situated at a quiet and obscure place.

"How do you know where is cold spring?" Jiang cheng asked to wei wuxian.

He was walking and enjoying the nature when  he felt someone presence too. He turn around.

The water in the cold spring was freezing. Unlike a hot spring, there wasn't any vapour to shroud one's eyes, so it was possible to take a clear look at the person in the spring who stood with his back to him.

The person in the spring was quite tall. His skin was fair and his hair was black, wet and gathered to one side. The lines which outlined his waist and back were smooth, graceful yet holding strength. In simpler terms, he was a beauty.

All the lan members turn their heads other side. Lan xichen cover jiang cheng's eyes, who was a bit reculent at this.

Suddenly the room temperature feels like decrease to -10°c. 

"Why is it suddenly cold now?" Jiang cheng whispered and rub his shoulder a little. Lan xichen hold his partner close to keep him warm.
