Starscream and Slipstream didn't transform into their jet forms while searching for Soundblaster's whereabouts. Instead, they relied on the jet boosters attached to their feet, making them appear as if they were wearing high-heeled shoes. This allowed them to be more meticulous when searching among the snowdrifts, and Ravage, who was below them, couldn't keep up if they transformed into jets.
"When I was assigned to strengthen the Decepticons' base defense in Kaon, it seems a lot happened in Crystal City," Slipstream started the conversation. "Especially when Ultra Magnus's forces won the battle in that city. But I didn't know Soundwave almost went offline and Shockwave created a clone of him."
"That's just unimportant information," said Starscream.
"Oh, so your useless schemes to overthrow Megatron are more important than the fact that a high-ranking Decepticon nearly died?"
"Of course!" Starscream sounded proud. "Besides, The Seekers are equivalent to TIC. Soundwave isn't your superior. He's your equal, along with Thundercracker and Skywarp—if they hadn't died like the other Seekers. Whatever happens, you must follow my orders over Soundwave's," he continued.
Slipstream stared blankly at him. "Yes, Commander Starscream," she replied somewhat reluctantly. This response only boosted Starscream's arrogance.
For almost two hours, they flew following the cybertronian jaguar's path but found no signs of their comrade. Starscream's and Slipstream's radars detected nothing but wild oxyhorses roaming around.
"How vast is this planet Keppler? Could it be that this planet only consists of snowy mountains?" Slipstream complained.
"Certainly, this planet is larger than Cybertron."
"How do you know?"
"Before the war, Jetfire and I often explored Cybertron and its moons. We rarely ran out of energon while circling Cybertron once," Starscream explained. "But here, I've run out of energon before seeing the end of this snow mountain range. Either this planet is too vast, or my engine works faster in cold temperatures, making me consume three times my daily ration of energon for reserves this morning."
Slipstream nodded in understanding. "It might indeed be too vast."
"And also, the plants here, the mountain rocks, the snow, and the clouds surrounding these mountains are made of organic materials. But I don't see any organic inhabitants here. Only oxyhorses, which resemble creatures on Cybertron, and enemies that attack, and Shadowstriker, who looks similar to us."
"Did you learn that from Shockwave?" Slipstream guessed.
"No, you fool. I already knew that," Starscream retorted. "Back then, Jetfire and I were fellow explorers and scientists. I still have my analytical skills about the surroundings," he continued.
Slipstream nodded again with her mouth forming an 'O.' "I thought Megatron recruited you just because you could fly."
"You really don't know much about your commander, do you?" Starscream began to get annoyed.
"Indeed, I don't. I was the last Seeker Megatron recruited to be under your command," Slipstream replied without remorse.
That answer made sense. Starscream had no reason to be offended, considering only Thundercracker and Skywarp often spent time with him as the first two Seekers. Several other Seekers died on the battlefield in Cybertron's cities, leaving only Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Slipstream as his subordinates.
"We haven't found Skywarp and Thundercracker until now. Could they have frozen to death?" Slipstream suddenly said.
Thwack!
