(Splatter's POV)
I gazed around at the odd scenery in awe, it was quite possibly the most beautiful place I had ever seen. The sky was a beautiful shade of florescent orange, and the grass was the color of lilacs. An odd vibration in my throat caused a high pitched rumble to come from my vocal chords.
Surprised and confused, I reached up to feel my neck, but something sharp on the ends of my fingers pricked my throat. I quickly looked down at my hand, and my jaw fell open in shock. Thorn-like claws replaced my fingernails, and my skin was covered by thick white fur. I was also missing a finger from each hand, but there was no sign they had been cut off. I turned my hands over and saw that my palms and fingers had pink squishy pads. I examined my hands again, fascinated. They kind of reminded me of a cat's-
That was when it struck me like a ton of bricks: I did not have hands.
I had paws, cat's paws.
Shocked, I checked the rest of my body, only to find that paws weren't the only peculiarities I had gained. My ears had migrated to the top of my head and had become pointy and movable. I had a long white tail that was softer than silk. I ran my barbed tongue across my teeth and found that my canines had been replaced with feline fangs, one of which stuck out from under my lip. My face was also longer. I carefully traced the shape of my eyes to find that they were slanted at the top lid but rounded at the bottom, forming a shape similar to a half moon. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small hand mirror that I carried around. My small triangular nose was black, my eyes were the same deep brown, and my blazing red bangs fell into my face, just as I had expected. But what was around my left eye shocked me; the fur was cobalt blue and was in the shape of a paint splotch.
"Whoa," I whispered, amazed by my transformation. I gently felt the fur around my eye, it was glossier than my white fur.
"It looks like I was hit in the face with a paintball," I said to myself, grinning. "Yet, it reflects my passion..."
I had always been skilled in the ways of visual art. I had often drawn cartoons with characters that had odd traits, much like the splatter that now covered my eye.
Fascinating... I thought, so absorbed in my own discovery that I didn't notice the two figures laying on the ground behind me.
