Nya had not returned to her room that night although she knew of the arrangements for tomorrow. Instead, she teleported to Gingerbread Ville, the first place she took Isabelle the day she got teleported into this world. Nothing about Gingerbread Ville had changed since she last visited the place. There was no single soul out on the streets, the torches indoors were switched off except for the ones placed outside the houses of a few inhabitants of the Ville.
Nya walked up to one of the houses, grabbing the torch so she could find her way to where Ginjer lives. Nya knocked on the front door a few times and a young gingerbread man opened the door, recognizing who it was, he smiled.
"Nya, it is so late at night please come in." He made way for her, collecting the torch in her hand. Nya walked into the familiar place and stared at the ruffled bed spread on the couch. Noticing her stare he spoke.
"That is where I sleep, there is only one bedroom in this house. Is Ginjer aware that you would be visiting?" He asked.
"She isn't aware I would be visiting." Nya turned to look at him. "Is she awake though?" "You can take a seat, I will tell her you are here." He attempted to go upstairs but Nya stopped him.
"Please do not wake her, I was just passing by anyways." Taking a slight bow, Nya left the house. The Gargoyles saw her coming in late, knowing who she was, they continued their rounds around the mansion. But the one who sees through the eye of the gargoyles saw her and knew of the time she had returned.
Nya was having trouble sleeping, not because she was having nightmares, she hasn't had those in decades but because she couldn't just bring herself to fall asleep. After tossing a few more times, she threw her pillows to the floor and groaned while falling back to the pillow less bed. Staring at the ceiling she remembered her training sword she kept inside her wardrobe.
Throwing the duvet off her body, she jumped off the bed and opened her wardrobe.
"It's been a long time." She held the sword in her hand and pulled it out of its sheath, her messy hair caught her attention at the reflection of the sword. Nya changed to a much more befitting outfit for training and dealt with her messy hair.
The moment she stepped out of her bedroom, she then realized that she had no training buddy. Her hand still on the door knob to the door of her closed room, she was about to finish her long groan when she remembered Irene.
"Miss Nya if Lord Cyrene finds out...
"If Lord Cyrene finds out, he finds out, we are not hurting anybody now are we?" Nya responded while receiving Irene in her bedroom.
"I thought you could cast spells, what do you need me for?" Irene stood beside the bed post watching Nya go through the racks of books.
"I can only make potions, I don't do spells." Nya spared Irene a glance and continued looking for the spell book.
"Here it is!" Irene picked up the book she saw on Nya's study table, staring at the cover. Nya responded, "Oh that is just the half of it, the other half is what I'm searching for. But half of the spell is there, the other half of the spell is in the other half of the book, if I could just find it."
Nya's eyes searched round her room. She never thought a day like this would come where she would be conjuring up a training buddy. Whenever she needed to train, she knew who to call.
"Nya? I think I can work with this one." Irene stared at the spells. "It is almost complete.""You think it will work?"
Irene nodded in response. Nya didn't want a flop buddy but who was she to argue with a witch. Seeing Irene look hesitant to start casting the spells, Nya asked,
"What is the matter?"
"I didn't bring my wand." Irene said looking around.
"What? You didn't know you needed a wand to cast spells?" Nya asked bewildered.
"How would a witch not know that?" Irene responded.
"Well go get it then." Nya said trying to shoo Irene away.
"Just joking, I have it here with me." Irene pulled the wand out of nowhere, she stared at Nya hoping it was going to make her laugh but she was wrong. The straight face of Nya made her stare at the half spell book and began chanting.
In no sooner than a minute, a being was formed.
"He looks like Tin man from the wizard of Oziviled." Nya commented after much scrutiny.
"You read that book too?" Irene asked and then commented "It needs some work."
Irene was able to remodify it, she watched Nya train all night with the being whose name was given to be Tin man of Oziviled. She didn't know why Nya needed a training buddy when she could call one of the boys. In the wee hours of the morning the Tin man of Oziviled dissipated into thin air as Nya was about to strike. She turned to at Irene with a quizzical look. They both returned to bed before the rest of the house arose to start their day.
