Rain poured on relentless sheets soaking through my clothes. The storm thunderd the outside rattling the windows. I nestled through the cushions of my chair and delved into the pages of my horror novel.
Suddenly I heard a peculiar noise disturbing the steady pattern of rain. I was zoned out for a while and dismissed it as the wind. The voice echoed again. Curiosity got the better of me, I decided to investigate further about it. I packed some essentials and ventured out into the rainy night following the peculiar voice. The sky was an ominous shade of grey. The outside was freezing and I felt a mix of frustration. I rifled around though unable to find anything. Suddenly, I noticed a faint flickering light and I made my way towards it. As I got closer I noticed that it was coming from an antique door. One in particular caught my eye it sign "Timeless Treasure" hung above. Curiosity piqued, I pushed the door open. Suddenly a bell tinkled softly announcing my entrance. The air inside was warm and fragrant. The room was dimly lit by dozens of candles casting long shadows. The shelves inside were filled with peculiar trinkets, ornate jewellery and vintage books.
Unexpectedly, I noticed an old weathered woman at the centre of the room. She gestured me to sit on a chair festooned with glitter. I felt a strange sensation of calm washing over me. Promptly, she took her magic glass ball and started to chant softly. The air around seems to shine. Abruptly, a dazzling light appeared on the ball. The old woman stopped chanting. "The world is filled with secrets waiting to be unfolded".She said. With a newfound sense of purpose, I ventured back into the rainy night. The misery of the day was replaced by a spark of excitement.

The sky was once a blanket of grey. Unexpectedly, I heard that peculiar voice again. I followed it with a sense of determination. I found myself at the edge of the town where an ancient forest lies ahead. Its towering trees were whispering secrets with the wind. I ventured into the dark forest. The path ahead was overgrown and eerie, the branches of gnarled trees were reaching out like skeletal fingers. The sun dipped below the horizon. It led me to a haunted mansion at the heart of the whispering woods. Heart-pointing, I decided. to investigate more about it. The windows were dark and the air felt heavy anticipation. With hesitant steps, I crossed into the mansion's foyer. The inside was stale and dust motes danced in the light. Suddenly, a cold breeze swept through the hallway sending a chill down my spine. I gasped my eyes with fear. I venture deeper into the mansion, The creaking floorboard echoes beneath my feet. Finally, I reached a grand chamber at the heart of the mansion. Promptly, I glimpsed at an ominous ghostly figure. I was frozen with terror. But as I looked closer I had expected something familiar about the ghost. Promptly, I realized that its name was the same as the antagonist in the horror novel I had been reading. I strolled backward and the ghost followed me with pleading eyes. The ghost asked me to summon a spell to break the curse bound within the mansion. And in that moment I knew what I had to do.
