The sky was a mere whisper of pink on the horizon as Takumi and Donnavan set out for the Enchanted Forest. They moved with stealth, their boots crunching against the underbrush, the only sound in the still morning air. Takumi's senses hummed with anticipation, his gaze scanning the dappled shadows, searching for a glimpse of his mysterious woman.

As the sun climbed higher, painting the forest in warm hues, they delved deeper into the trees. The foliage grew denser, the ancient trunks twisting and gnarled, their branches a canopy overhead. Takumi could feel a strange energy tugging at him, a siren's call he couldn't resist. He barely registered when Donnavan fell behind, his focus fixed on the sensation drawing him deeper.

Suddenly, he was confronted with a wall of magic, so potent it made his skin prickle. He pushed through, his breath catching as he emerged into a sun-drenched clearing. And then, he heard it, a voice like music, singing a haunting melody that made his very soul ache with longing.

He approached the cottage slowly, his footsteps light on the lush grass. The singing grew louder, the words becoming clear. It was an old lullaby, one his mother used to croon to him when he was a boy. His throat swelled, emotion clogging his airways, making it hard to draw breath.

He reached the cottage door, his hand hovering over the weathered wood. His heart thundered in his ears, his palms slick with sweat. With a shaky breath, he rapped his knuckles against the door, the sound echoing through the stillness.

There was a moment of heavy silence, and then the singing faltered and died. Footsteps echoed from within, growing louder, until the door creaked open, and Elvira stood before him. Her eyes widened in surprise, color blooming in her cheeks, as their gazes met, and the world around them melted away.

The sun stung my eyes as I rolled over, and made my way to the bathroom to start my day. Brushing my teeth first, then washing my face, I headed over to the shower. When the water was finally hot enough, I stepped in, using my rosemary mint soap with my net cloth. I didn't want to spend too much time in the shower, I knew Evan would be waking up any moment.

When I finished, I stepped out and dried off, adding my oatmeal body butter so my skin wouldn't dry out. Then I walked over to the closet to get ready. Taking a second to pick out what I wanted to wear for the day since we weren't going anywhere, I opted for a dress set to lounge in, just in case we had to leave.

Watching out the window, I could tell it was bright and sunny. It was funny how the forest could pick and choose what season it wanted to have mid-week, but at this point, I was used to it. Making quick work, I headed out to the barn to check on the animals and let them out since it was warmer today for them to walk about. Adding food to their bowls, and making bottles for the babies that needed it, before heading back inside.

Taking my shoes and jacket off, I washed my hands while listening to see if Evan was awake. When I didn't hear anything, I shook my head before heading upstairs to wake him up. Before I did, I started a bath for him and picked out his clothes for the morning. Crouching by the bed, I rubbed his back to wake him up.

Expecting a good morning, I only got a whine instead. Picking him up, I thought to myself that I might have to let him have an early nap today after breakfast. Placing him in the bath, I washed him quickly, then got him out. Moisturizing his skin with the same oatmeal butter I used this morning then, got him dressed for the day.

After, we headed downstairs, and made Evan some porridge for the morning, taking the time to feed him slowly since he was still half asleep

After, we headed downstairs, and made Evan some porridge for the morning, taking the time to feed him slowly since he was still half asleep. When we finished, I gave him some water to drink as we cuddled on the couch, swaying back and forth.

Taking a breath, I started humming, which turned into a soft melody. As I sang, I could feel Evan completely relax against me, and fall back asleep. Somehow Evan's hand always found its way in my shirt for some odd reason.

Standing up again, I walked around the living room as I switched between humming and singing.

It wasn't long before I heard the sound of a knock at the door. Placing Evan on the couch, I padded my way over to the door expecting to see Odessa or Scarlett. To my surprise, the man I had been yearning for was right in front of me, on my doorstep.

Standing on the porch, he looked to be his exact height, as his dark eyes locked with mine, with an expression he couldn't understand.

My heart leaped into my throat as I took in the sight of him, his hair mussed, and a day's worth of scruff on his jaw. He looked different, rougher, and it only added to his appeal. "You," I breathed, my voice barely audible.

He took a step closer, his gaze drinking me in. "I knew it," he rasped, his voice low and rough. "I've been searching everywhere for you, ダーリング."
