I love hockey.
Hockey is the one this I know I can love.
The one thing I love.~~
As soon as practise ended I felt drained. I love hockey so much its crazy. But I feel so drained after. My chest gets tight and my head hurts. Even if it's a few tackle practices or 2 v 2.
I known this happens because of my asthma which is more severe than usual cases. Due to this I take tablets as well as my inhaler. I also know it's the cold environment of the rink.
As practice ended I skated over to my friends. This included Archie, Finn and Louis. We all shared a building together. Over the past year we have Horton close being that where all in the hockey team and sharing a living space.
"Guys I think I might be insane" Archie says as we walk towards the changing room
"Too you long enough to realise" replies Louis
"No but actually I thought the ice was purple"
"That's called being blind idiot" says Finn
"Thanks for diagnosing me"
"No problem glad to help"
We walk into the locker Room. Which of the usual stank. It always smelt awful. Since I came so often the smell felt normal. My nose was able to block out the smell.
The room was mainly blue with lockers against the wall and rows of benches and hooks in the middle. Bags and coats dunped in piles. As the rest of the team began getting ready to head out.
The boys and I quickly got change before walking together to Finn's car.
"Hey guys before we head to the girls can we stop at the shop we need to get the new girl a gift" I say
"Yes that's so cute and I could get flowers for hope." Archie starts as he continues to yap about his girlfriend. I have never seen anyone so in love with someone before meeting him.
Could I ever be in love like that?
I don't know I also knew love was a false statement. And that marriage was to much of a risk. You setting yourself up to be in love with someone you whole life.
You could say I was scared. And I'll have to say I agree with you because I am scared.
~~
"What does she even like?" I ask as we scrolled through the closest shop"Wait I'm asking Faith she said that she like red because her phone case is red and some weird shit about what kind of red" says Louis as he looks at his phone.
Faith and Louis have been best friends since they where five. We all secretly shipped them but we would be murdered if Faith knew.
"Maybe we could get her a book" offer Finn
"You are the most boring person very who is going to be excited over a book?" Archie as he dumps a bouquet of pink tulips for Hope.
"Lyn would and my sister" Finn mutters as he lists people
"How about we get her a candle or something?" I suggest
"Yes hope really likes this cinnamon one but she also likes this nutmeg one and this other one wait I forgot what it-"
"Lets just get a red one"
We ended up getting lost multiple times before finding the candles. I quickly found one with a red jar not giving a second thought. Finn brought a book over that he wants dot read he got two copies so he and his girlfriend's Evelyn or Lyn can read it together. Jude e also bought a couple of smacks for the movie before checking out and heading to the girls.
