Chapter 2, The sun

(3rd person pov:)

*Its finally Saturday, the day Y/N's parents had a surprise for her, Y/N rushes downstairs excitedly as her mother scoffs at her. "Dad: get in the car Y/N", Y/N was confused but extra excited now, she doesn't get to go out of the house very often. So its a very rare chance that Y/N isn't going to skip out on, Y/N rushes out the door and hops in the back seat of the unlocked car, awaiting for her parents. Her father gets in the drivers seat and her mother gets in the passengers, her father starts up the car with a loud "VROOM" sound, and her father pulls out of the musty driveway.*

(Y/N's pov:)

*I had fallen asleep in the car.. by the time i wake up were in a large building, my dad carrying me, which was a HUGE shock, for usually they would both NEVER EVER even touch me, but anyways.. were in a SUPER HUGE mall looking building, with tons of neon lights, and bright colors! there's food courts, activity's, and while walking through i even saw super huge robots! there was a bear one, a wolf, a chicken, and a gator! they looked so awesome!!!, about 5 minutes later my parents leave me somewhere... i look around, i see a desk, and 2 statues, of a moon like animatronic and a sun, the sun had orange star patterned shoes, rays around his half and half face, a warm smile, and looked and dresses a bit like a jester, the moon one looked very similar, except it was gray-ish and a dark navy blue, and some yellow star accessories, and instead of rays it wore a night cap, i finally see a sign that says "SUNDROPS DAYCARE", so that's were my parents left me, suddenly a man comes up to me wearing what seems to be a work uniform "employee: hey kid, ur supposed to go down the slide by now", im confused but look to were hes pointing, were hes pointing is a big yellow slide, i nod and thank him, and i slide down the slide.. i land in a large ball pit, just my head sticking out, im immediately picked up and lifted in the air, i squeal and see the sun-like animatronic i saw as a statue just a second ago, hes very very tall, "sundrop: HELLO NEW FRIEND!!! welcome to my daycare!!! ur going to have so much fun!, u can finger paint, tell stories, drink fizzy faz until your head EXPLODES and stay up all night!!", im very shocked and still processing , but i finally speak up "u-um.. hi?"... i get no response for a second but then he speaks, his rays spinning once "sundrop: hello sunshine! whats ur name!?".. "u-um.. im Y/N", the animatronic spins his rays again, "sundrop: such a gorgeous name!! im sundrop! but u can call me sun!".. i nod, as sun puts me down softly out of the ball pit, "sun: how about u go make friends with the other children! im sure you'll find someone to play with!", i nod slowly.. and hesitantly walk off into the large daycare, were i see a lot of other kids from ages 6-10 playing around with each other joyfully, for now thought i just sit in a corner and wait for the day to end*

(sundrops pov:)

*my my! that child was so adorable!!! Y/N was it? my my!!! she had the most lovely H/C hair! but... now that i think of it.. she had black eyes... i blink a few times... hmm.. thats very unusual, im worried about it, i hope she doesn't get bullied, but if that does happen ill intervene, its my job after all!! <moon: you know im in ur mind to right? also, theres a kid with black eyes?>, EEEKK!!! dont scare me like that! i forgot you were in there for a second- <moon: dumbass> MOON!! LANGUAGE!!!!, i notice 2 kids fighting and i rush over "now now children! whats the issue?" "child 1: he wont give me back my dolly!!!" "child 2: i had it first!!"... i sigh and take the doll, "now now kids, u must share!", i pull out another doll and hand it to 1 of the kids, and the other to the other one, "how about you 2 play together nicely ok!", the children nod so i walk away... then i notice Y/N in the corner by herself... i walk over kindly, not to startle her, "my! whats the matter sunshine?"... i get no response for a few seconds but she eventually speaks "Y/N: i dont fit in with the other kids though... they'll think my eyes are weird".. i dont respond for a few seconds, but i respond, "i think your eyes are special and unique!!! they look like a beautiful night sky!", she looks at me like i just said the most stunning thing ever said, and she speaks "Y/N: r-really?", "ofc!!!", "Y/N: but i always get hit when i mention my eyes", thats when i freeze... THE HECK!!??*

(Y/N's pov:)

*sun looks at me... he may be an animatronic but i can tell hes shocked, im confused on why, i thought it was normal? was i weird? am i not good enough?.... i-is he afraid of me now?....... tons of negative thoughts start to spill in my head as i zone out... your not good enough.. ur a monster!... freak, kids dont have black eyes!... sun didn't mean what he said, hes only doing his job!, stop thinking theirs hope! shut up... shut up.... shut up.... "SHUT UP!!!!", i accidently yell out loud as i get out of the zone, sun looks shocked, and confused... i then feel really bad about what i yelled and quickly apologize, "i-im so sorry mr. sun!!!!"... sun looks at me for a second then speaks, "sun: its ok sunshine, its not ur fault, now, its almost nap time!, why dont u go join the other children in getting comfortable for napping!".. i slowly nod and stand up, brushing myself off from the dusty corner, i quietly follow sun, who i now realize is almost 9 foot, to the napping corner... sun, now seeing im anti-social, makes me a spot a bit away from the other children, which im grateful for.. i snuggle up and get comfortable, once the other children calm down and settle in, sun walks out of the corner, making sure the corner is dark.. i wonder why he doesn't just turn off the daycare lights? is he scared of the dark maybe? or of tripping?, im not sure the reason, but for now i just try and get some shut eye.. i drift off into imagination... as i slowly... drift... to sleep~*

(sun pov:)

*i walk out of the napping corner quietly... <moon: sun, why wont u just let me out? i wont hurt the children.. i promise~>, oh.. s-shut up moon! dont try to lie to me!!!!... i start thinking about Y/N.... how she said she gets "hit" when she mentions her eyes... that worries me deeply, my metal chest hit with a pang of worry and confusion, why would a child get hit? ive delt with mentally abusive parents before... are hers... physical?... will this be my first case of physical abuse?.... for now i hope otherwise..*
