If you think about it, it's funny.
In a twisted way, Lando and Sophia are more alike than what they could ever realize. But at the same time they were different in numerous way.
Sophia was from a broken family, with her parents fighting at least five times a day while she hid with her brother in the closet waiting for her mom to came get them, until her dad left when she was four, leaving them with peace and quiet but also with piles of debt thanks to his drinking addictions. Her mom worked day and night to gain the little money they had, while Sophia took care of her brother.
When she was eleven years old, Sophia decided that she was going to helped out in any way she could. She started to tutor kids, mown laws, walk dogs, everything she could do to gain money, all while making videos on youtube. Until she came across an acting job for the series her mom adored so much, Law and Order. After that, a few years later Fran reached out to her mom and convince her to let Sophia do one audition for Disney Channel. So at fourteen, Sophia became Maya Hart, a character she could relate to personally. After that, it was just step by step till she launched her first album with Island Records and blew up.
It was a hard change, over night she became a sensation and could barely go to target without anyone recognize her. She won award after award with that album, including the best new artist award and artist of the year, song of the year from vmas, and after she won best new artist, best pop vocal, record of the year from the Grammys.
Then she dropped So Popular.
Her sophomore album broke so many records that she lost count, it had the best people on it and the best lyrics. Album of the decade they said it once on the radio. It was funny, she won so many awards with that - artist of the year, video of the year, song of the year, best collaboration, best pop, song of the summer (vmas), record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, best pop solo performance, best pop duo/ group performance, best pop vocal album (Grammys) - but inside, she was stress all the time, panic attacks, shaking every time a camera was on her. The pressure was a lot so that was why they called that her revolting era. She screamed at paparazzi so much that her mom called her and flew to her. She snarked back in interviews. She cursed in songs. Things people weren't expecting it so they hate it.
She was so scared of failing.
That is where her and Lando are similar to each other.
Because even though, Lando was raised in a lovely home with parents and sibling supporting his every move, he was scared. From an early age, his moves were captured by camera thanks to his racing. That mean that the pressure haunted him since he was a kid but at the time he could handle it with warm milk and cookies.
