I wake up to hear the news that Ethan was burned in a house fire. A black and yellow tape winds around his house reading "CRIME SCENE" I saw Ethan getting wheeled out of the house in a hospital bed. I hoped he would come back to school. All I wanted was to feel his breaths in my hair, on my neck as he kissed me. His hands on me.
"How horrible. I heard it was because he left the stove on." said Sandra, putting an arm around my shoulders. "I know you two were good friends. Do you need a day off from school?"
"No, thanks." I replied.
I walked through the gates of my school. Lonelier than ever, I didn't expect anyone from my group to come up to me and hug the way they did with each other. To my surprise, I saw Danica rushing up to me.
"Have you heard?" she asked.
"I think so?" I said questioningly.
"Everyone's talking about it. Almada is pregnant and she thinks it's Ethan's baby."
My whole world crashed down. When did they get the time to...do that? I didn't say anything back to Danica, as my mind was seized by this information. I did know that Ethan got burned in a fire, but this?
