Season 1

The night was eerily quiet, the kind of silence that enveloped the city like a thick blanket. Streetlights flickered, casting dim pools of light on the cracked pavement below. Alex, a skilled hitman with a dark past, sat on the balcony of his modest apartment, staring into the distance. His hands gripped a warm mug of coffee, but it was the warmth of the rising sun that he truly craved—symbolizing a new beginning.

For the first time in years, Alex felt hope. He had met Mia at a small café on the corner of Maple Street. Her laughter had been like a melody, breaking through the shadows that lingered in his heart. She was vibrant, full of life, and utterly unaware of the dangers that lurked in his past.

As he sipped his coffee, memories of his former life flashed through his mind. The thrill of the hunt, the adrenaline of the kill—he had lived in a world of shadows, always one step away from death. But now, as he looked out at the world, he saw only the potential for happiness. Mia had given him that.

In the evenings, they would walk through the city, hand in hand, talking about their dreams and aspirations. Mia wanted to open an art gallery, showcasing local artists, while Alex envisioned a life of peace, free from the chaos that had defined him for so long.

But just as Alex began to embrace this new life, a familiar name echoed in his mind, pulling him back into darkness: Rocco. Rocco was his former boss, a ruthless crime lord who had a penchant for violence. He had been the one to introduce Alex to the world of contract killing, and now, years later, Alex hoped to never cross paths with him again.

As dawn broke, a nagging feeling settled in the pit of Alex's stomach. The city was changing. He could sense it—a storm brewing on the horizon. He dismissed the feeling, trying to focus on the promise of his future with Mia. After all, they had plans to leave the city soon and start fresh somewhere far away.

Just then, his phone buzzed on the table. A message from an unknown number appeared on the screen:

"I know what you did. You can’t run from your past. - R."

Panic surged through him as the blood drained from his face. He had tried to escape the life he once led, but it seemed that the shadows were not ready to let him go.

Mia entered the room, her smile brightening the dim morning. “Hey, you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” she teased, concern flickering in her eyes.

Alex quickly composed himself, forcing a smile. “Yeah, just… thinking about the future,” he replied, his heart racing.

But in his mind, the message lingered like a dark cloud, and the thought of Rocco cast a shadow over their blissful moment. He couldn’t let Mia become entangled in his past. As they prepared for the day ahead, Alex knew that he had to confront the storm before it reached them.
