As the ink on the paper kept writing, the written words came out of the journal.
‘ I was running. I was so lost, I didn't know where to go. All I could see were trees, bushes, and a couple of wild animals. The sky was so dark as well, which then made me terrified for my life, for her life. It made me even more desperate to look for my sister.
“Renata!” I cried out “RENATA WHERE ARE YOU?!” I called out her name again and again, expecting a reply from her… but there was no answer. And I waited for so long to hear that voice; the voice that wanted to tell me that she was safe, that my beloved twin sister was safe. But it never came, until I woke up that is.“Frehiya wake up!”
The sound of my sister's voice calling me outside the door rang in my ears, I rose from the bed, beads of sweat running down my face. Then I realized that it was just a dream. And that she was safe, her voice calling me just earlier was enough proof. There's no way my sister and I would go to that place, especially since Renata is a coward she wouldn't dare to go through that forest alone, right?
I glanced at the window, and outside I saw the townspeople crowding at the center of the town. Curious Little me went outside to check, and that's when I saw that boy.
He was an orphan. He didn't have any special traits to make him stand out. He wasn't social either so nobody ever knew him that much, let alone remember him. But I guess starting from now they will.
I think it was yesterday?
If I remember correctly, his name was Oliver .And I saw him peeking at me while I did my thing. Of course I went to confront him. But it turns out that I had dropped my bracelet that my sister made for me and that he just wanted to give it back to me. According to him, he was too shy to talk to me, especially with those rumors spreading around me. I mean to be honest I would too. What a shame though, he was so nice as well. What could've happened to have him hung at the center of the town? But then again, it's not my business to pry. I just hoped that they would clean that body up soon before it started to rot and smell. If my sister had seen this, I think she would probably cry to me like a baby, saying things like “oH hOw SaD! He DiDn’T dEsErVe ThAt!” Womp womp.
She was always the type to cry at everything so minor. Like that time when a small rat was eaten by a snake. She cried to me about the cruelty of snakes and how the rat deserved to live at least a little longer. The good twin sister that I am, I explained to her that snakes need to eat to survive and continue living; but I guess that didn't calm her down. So as an attempt to turn that frown downside up, I killed the snake. And which made her cry even more! Got me so confused I mean she complained how the rat didn't deserve to die. So I thought if a victim didn't deserve to die, then the killer did! Guess she didn't understand my way of thinking.
But now I'm really hungry after writing all this stuff, I'll go eat now,I haven't eaten breakfast yet. ‘
-FrehiyaThen the journal closed on its own.
