Today we had a training day, and we were travelling to Manhatten for our first away game. I always preferred home games, because the crowds were always amazing.
I drove alone, because I was running late. Ofcourse.
On arrival I went to the changing room, and it was empty, so I was real late.
Walking in they were just warming-up, and the coaches weren't here yet.
Kate walks over to me, and gives me a hug. "A little late big dawg,"
"Sorry coach," I say jokingly.
"Yo Money, catch!" Caitlin says throwing the ball to Kate.
Kate catches the ball and runs to the hoop.
"Hey Brownie!," Cait says laughing.
"Heyy," I say back laughing.
I'm starting my warm-up routine, when the coaches walk in.
"Good morning guys, good you all already started your warm-up" Coach Bluder says standing in the middle of the court.
"Today we're just focusing on your weakest spots, and it's not gonna be a long session, because we're travelling this afternoon," Jensen explains the plan of the day. "For now just think about your weakest spot, and try to practice it, and then we're doing a drill,"
My weakest spot is definitely stealing the ball of people, so I decided to practice that today.
I tell this to coach Harmon, and she's gonna help me.
"Okay girl, so when you're gonna steal the ball watch the players body language, and most important their eyes..."
And the tips go on and on, I love this woman.
"Alright, let's show off your skills, here are the teams, we're going three for three" Bluder tells the group of girls infront of her pointing to the bord next to her, and Jada, Issie and Kate were together.
"Alright first round, Kate, Jada and Isabelle against Monika, Sydney and AJ," Bluder says walking of the court to stand by the side to watch.
I walk alongside Kate and Jada to our side. "We can do this, c'mon," Kate hypes Jada and me up, and I actually am feeling confident, with all the techniques I just learned.
As I'm standing behind Sydney, I see that she's not paying attention to me, so I take my chance and succesfully steal the ball of her and take it to the hoop.
"On fire Brownie," Kate patts me on the back as we run back to our part of the court.
"Love ya," I say back.
We played for another 3 minutes, when it was time for the other teams.
"Heeyy, you improved girlyy," Coach Harmon says, when I get back to the benches.
"Thanks coach," I say very happy with the compliment.
The training ends a little after 11:00, so we have two hours to change and go to the airport.
While driving home, and singing along to my queen RAYE, I decided to grab a drink by a local coffee shop. I got a pumpkin spiced latte, and brought one for Kylie aswell.
Arriving back I gave Kylie her coffee, and she already was done showering so I went to shower.
"Heyy, just a question you going to put make-up on?" I yell from the bathroom ,drying my hair, to Kylie. "Noo, girl we have to travel 6 hours, don't have energy," "Yeah fair enough,"
*Time skip to the airport, inside the plane*
I'm looking 'round to see where there is an open seat still, and I spot one next to ma girl Hannah.
"Heyy girl can I sit next to you?" Asking just for assurance.
"Ofc babe, don't have to ask," Hannah says opening her arms.
I just fall in her arms.
"This going to be a fun flight,"
{They didn't do shit, they slept the whole flight}
Arriving in the hotel, eating my pizza we picked up on the way. There weren't any assigned roommates, so me and Hannah went together straight to the room, because we are so tired.
