Minji and Haerin were the best duo ever. They had been best friends since childhood. They were in the same school, same class. They always supported each other no matter what came their way.
It all changed at school one day..
Haerin's POV:
I had reached school late today, I went into class and found Minji unnie was already there. It was math period, which I really hated. The class had already started and I came 15 minutes late. Of course I got some scoldings, but I didn't care anymore... I walked and sat near Minji unnie.
"Hi, unnie," I said.
"Hi, Haerin. Why are you so late today??" asked unnie.
"I woke up late today," I lied.
I wasn't feeling really well today. I had a fever, and I didn't want to upset Minji unnie.
"Next time, don't be late! Okay?" said unnie.
Minji's POV:
I had reached school early today. Usually, I would walk together with Haerin to school everyday, but today she wasn't there. I thought, she would come a little late, so I left for school. I went inside class, and saw I was the only one there.
I saw people entering the class one by one, but I didn't see Haerin yet. I started getting worried, as math period had already started. After a few minutes of math class, I finally saw Haerin enter. She was really late today. She got some scoldings from the teacher as she entered. She then, came and sat next to me.
She greeted me, but I noticed something was off with her... She seemed exhausted. I asked her why she was late today, and she said she woke up late.. I knew she was lying to make me feel better. I needed to know what was happening.
Haerin's POV:
I lied to unnie, and I think she noticed.. Maybe, I shouldn't act suspicious.
(Time skip)
Minji's POV:
It's break! Haerin might be in the cafeteria, I'll go talk to her. I went towards, the cafeteria, and saw Haerin was sitting alone. I went and sat next to her.
Haerin's POV:
I went to the cafeteria early today. I didn't see Minji unnie yet. I decided to sit alone. My head was hurting, I was feeling very dizzy. I started eating my food, and then I saw Minji unnie. She walked up to me, and sat next to me.
"Hey," she said.
"Hi, unnie," I replied.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" asked unnie.
I started getting nervous, what if she knew I was not ok. What if she gets upset for not telling her. I shouldn't have acted that suspicious.
"Yeah? What is it unnie?" I asked.
"Are you ok? You seem off since morning. You're okay, right?" asked unnie.
What do I do.. She knows something's off. Do I tell, unnie? I don't think I should. I really don't want to worry her.
"HAERIN! I ASKED YOU SOMETHING... CAN YOU ANSWER!?" screamed unnie in anger.
"I'M FINE! IT'S NOTHING! PLEASE, JUST.. LEAVE ME ALONE!" I screamed.
"Sure," replied unnie
Unnie then left the cafeteria, and started walking back to class. I shouldn't have screamed at unnie... I made her feel bad...
Minji's POV:
I decided to ask Haerin why she was acting so off since the morning.
"Hey," I said.
"Hi, unnie," she replied.
"Can I ask you something??" I asked.
"Yeah," she replied.
I started getting nervous. But, I had to make sure if she was feeling fine. So I asked her.
"Are you okay? I feel like you've been acting off since morning," I asked.
She started acting weird. She was thinking about something. I started losing my temper. I had to help her. She can't hide anything from me..
"HAERIN!? I ASKED YOU SOMETHING! CAN YOU ANSWER?!" I screamed
I started feeling bad.. I shouldn't have screamed. I'm such a bad friend.
"IT'S NOTHING UNNIE! I'M FINE! PLEASE... JUST.. LEAVE ME ALONE!" she screamed.
I understood, I shouldn't have acted like that. I'll just leave her alone. She may need some time...
