Gym Class

Ben's POV

I sat down in the back of room 310 right before the bell rang. About 5 minutes after the bell rang a boy ran into the class. He had messy hair, a green Adidas hoodie, and black sweatpants. Yup it was Alex. He quickly walked to the back of the class room avoiding eye contact with the teacher. He sat down next to me.

"Hey, Alex." I said "First day late yet again?"

"Shut it, Miles." he said

"Make me." I teased

The class continued on until the bell rang. I got up and followed Alex out the door.

"What class do you have next?" I asked him.

"Gym." he said not very enthusiastically.

"Same." I said blandly.

We all hated gym specifically because of Michael's dad being the teacher. He sucked. He was so rude to everyone and made Michael hate himself. He was super sexist too. He gives the girls easier things to do. Some of the girls like it but my two older sisters Michelle and Tina hated it. They are Seniors now but they still have him for gym.

Me and Alex walked to the gym and entered through the boys locker room. Mr. Connor was giving the boys their locks. Me and Alex avoided him and just grabbed a lock out of the bin and chose two lockers. When we turned the corner we saw Silas, Michael, and Tye getting changed.

"Hey guys." Said Silas waving cheerfully.
            
"Hey guys!" A voice mimicked him "you even talk gay!"
  
It was Kyler Simmons. The captain of the football team. He was a jerk to all of us but especially Silas.

"Leave him the hell alone!" Snapped Alex.

"Oh look little gay boy's little gay boyfriend is trying to protect him!" He said condescendingly.

"Oh shut up!" Said Tye.

"Make. Me." Kyler said grinning.

"OH I'LL MAKE YOU!!!" yelled Alex who looked like he was gonna stab Kyler with the stick of deodorant in his left hand before Tye grabbed him.

"Just leave it!" Yelled Silas.

"Fine." Said Alex turning away.
 
We got dressed in silence and didn't talk for the rest of class. For the rest of the day until lunch I had a few classes with Michael and Tye but we didn't talk. At lunch we all met in the library like we always do.

"Sorry about earlier." Said Alex with a sad look on his face.

"It's ok you were just trying to protect me." Said Silas sweetly

"Well I actually have a question for you." Said Alex getting really reserved all of the sudden "Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Of course!" Exclaimed Silas.

They were so cute. And it gave me courage to say something I never thought I'd say.
