Ratchet was standing at the terminal and recorded an extremely strange magnetic field. The medic was trying to determine its source when surveillance cameras spotted the car of Jack's mother, who began to visit the Autobot base often. Too often...
"Hi, Jack!" June hugged her confused son "I finished my shift earlier and decided to come. Glad to see you Doctor, Arcee" she nodded to Ratchet and femme "And where are Optimus and the others?"
"He's with Bumblebee now, Bulkhead is riding with Miko, and Wheeljack has just returned from patrol"
"Oh, so I shouldn't have preened" the woman grinned
"Mooom..." the young man rolled his eyes
The awkward conversation is interrupted by the roar of Bulkhead's engine. The green car arrived at the base and stopped. The autobot opened the passenger door and a happy Miko jumped out of it.
"Yay!" The girl screamed "It was the best trip! Hi, Ms. Darby!" the Asian girl waved to Jack's mom
"Hi, Miko" June smiled
"What are you doing?" Bulkhead approached the medic
"I found a strange magnetic anomaly" Ratchet replied "Perhaps it is generated by technology from Cybertron"
"Yay, a new adventure!" Miko jumped
"Miko, no!" Bulkhead looked sternly at the girl
A worried Wheeljack entered the room, leading Soundwave by the manipulator.
"Doc, we seem to have problems" the white bot turned to the medic
"I'm a little busy here" Ratchet grumbled, then inhaled "What do you have?"
"Well, Soundwave has drops of energon on his face and they..." Wheeljack tried to find words "Like... Moving?"
"What?!" Ratchet exclaimed "I hope you didn't touch them?" The medic turned to him
"Uh... no?" the wrecker hid the manipulators behind his back
Ratchet massaged the bridge of his nose "Into the medbay. Both" he said sternly "I'll be right there"
Wheeljack nodded and led Soundwave to the medbay. He sat his neighbor down on the platform, who was still holding the wrecker's hand. White mech realized that in a hurry they had left the datapad in the room, and decided to go back for it.
He freed himself from the spy's thin fingers and headed for the exit, but the Decepticon restrained him by wrapping his tentacle around the robot's manipulator.
"Wave, I won't be long" Wheeljack said and immediately punched himself a facepalm
"Scrap! He can't hear anything!" the mech scolded himself. He vented and gently patted Soundwave's tentacle. It looks like the Decepticon understood him and slowly released the wrecker's manipulator. Wheeljack was about to leave, but Ratchet blocked his way.
"You're in quarantine" the medic crossed the manipulators on his chest
"What?" the wrecker asked, perplexed
"Sit down" Ratchet ordered
Wheeljack listened to the medic and sat down on another platform. Ratchet approached Soundwave and laid him down, then he connected the Decepticon to the sensors and injected his in stasis.
The medic carefully removed the spy's mask and examined his face. The children and a worried June entered the medbay:
"What's wrong with him?" the woman asked
