"And finally we are here." A loud cheering echoed in the bus. Ten hours of the long bus journey finally came to an end. All the people seated in the bus looked tired and ready to call it a day.

"Look at that sunset, it's so beautiful." Jhanvi spoke from beside me. I looked outside the window and indeed the sight was mesmerizing.

As far as your eyes would reach all you can see were trees and mountains. The sky was covered in a orange hue. The sun was just ready to set.

"It's beautiful." I uttered completely in awe with the beauty infront of me.

"Everyone, please pay attention." Mr Shankar, the head of the sociology department and our professor spoke gathering everybody's attention. He was a short bulky man, a good man I would say but only if you stay on his good side.

"We will soon enter the borders of Panwar. Make sure you remain in your best discipline we are here to work on a college survey and your only focus should be that. Do not trouble the villagers here. We will be staying in the houses provided by the head mukhiya. As it's already night, let's have dinner and take a good sleep. Tommorow morning we need to meet the head mukhiya." He finished his long speech and jhanvi started clapping followed by everyone, they all love to annoy him. Especially jhanvi.

He gave a stinky eye to her but tirelessly took his seat back. Jhanvi is my best friend, she would always try messing with the teachers, she loved drama.

"Samaira, are you ready for fun." She hollered giving me a mischievous look.

Getting down from the bus, we were greeted by two elderly ladies, they were dressed up in very traditional sarees with big bindis adorning their forehead. They guided us towards our house.

"Oh my god, are we seriously going to stay here, there's no ac in this house, how would we even survive." Nisha cried out upon looking the tiny house.

She was such a daddy's princess I swear.

"I will call your father to install an ac here okay miss Nisha." Mr Shankar sarcastically answered, giving her a big side eye.

After the Nisha drama ended we walked towards the house, it wasn't just one house because we were twelve people they gave us three houses. Me, jhanvi Smriti and Ananya will share one house and others would stay in another one. We also had boys with us, they would stay with the professor.

The house had two small rooms, a small kitchen that was also attached to a small living room. There wasn't any furniture in there other than 2 beds and dressers in each room.

"Alright so me and Jhanvi can stay in one room and Ananya and Smriti can take the other room." We decided and proceeded to take our rooms accordingly and deposited our bags in there.
