(Video unrelated. I just want you all to listen to the song.)

When Tommy woke up, the first thing he noticed was that he was in pain.

Now, that normally wouldn't be any cause for concern. He was an adventurous boy- no, man , and sometimes he got hurt doing things. Like when he misses his tricks shots, on purpose he should add. Or when he was almost killed by a nuke. Y'know, big man stuff.

But he hadn't done any big man shit for a while. Mostly, he'd just been in his house. He'd been extremely tired recently, and when he almost tripped down the Prime Path when he blacked out for a second, Tubbo had demanded he stayed home. He'd tried to argue that he was fine, but the older simply wouldn't hear him out. Quote, "it seems only one of us here cares about your health, and it sure isn't you!"

No, the reason why he was concerned was the places he was feeling it. His jaw ached, his toes felt like they were on fire, his ears burned.

The second thing he noticed was his awful headache. It felt like someone was on the inside of his skull, trying to drill their way out. He wanted to give his head a good shake, and get them out. Not for their sake, of course, if there really was a person in there.

He groaned. Stupid thoughts for stupid situations.

He tried to get out of bed, but gave up once the pain became too much for him to withstand. What the hell was happening to him? Sighing, he grabbed his communicator, and punched in a simple message to Tubbo.

Tubs, in pain, need help <<

He waited several minutes for a reply, lightly groaning under his breath as he watched the minutes go past on the built-in clock.

Finally, after a few moments of staring blankly at the device, his communicator pinged.

>> coming over

"Fuckin' finally.." he said, groaning. Seconds felt like an eternity when all he could feel was his growing pain. He swore the temperature had gone up at least 5 degrees since he'd woken up.

He dropped his communicator off the side of his bed, massaging his head as he tried not to cry. Not that he would've, obviously, but sometimes it was good to cry. Puffy always told him that it was a "big man" thing to do. He'd argued that because Ranboo couldn't cry, he wasn't a big man. He'd argued a lot recently.

He wasn't too sure how much time had passed between that thought and Tubbo slamming his door open. Had to be at least five minutes. Either way, he was in pain, and it was only getting stronger. Especially after the noise Tubbo deemed necessary to make.

"Ack! Fuck you dude!" he said, glaring at Tubbo before going back to rubbing his pounding skull.

Tubbo tutted. He could hear the other boy getting closer to his bed, his hooves clicking against the wooden floor. There was another pair of footsteps, trailing closely behind him. He didn't bother to look up.

"C'mon dude, me and Ranboo-" he hastily looked up, to see Tubbo and Ranboo stood over him. Tubbo looked almost bored, and Ranboo looked concerned. Good. "-go all this way to try to help you, and this is the reaction we get? I think we should just leave."

"Sorry Tubs, I've got a killer headache. The noise just hurt my head, 's all." he tried to smile up at him, staring at him with watery eyes.

"You didn't tell me it was this bad, Tommy! You're apologising and everything." Tubbo said, suddenly looking concerned for him. Rude, he was perfectly capable of apologising! He went to try to make his thoughts clear, but his head throbbed harder and all he could do was groan in pain.
