"The Sun and the Moon"

The Sun loves the Moon, even if he knows they aren't destined to be together.

She is so beautiful... yet so distant.

So he just admires her from afar, knowing that the Earth gets to see her beauty up-close every night, while he can't to anything but just hope for the Moon to finally notice him.

He tries to get her attention so hard, and when he finally manages to, the Moon decides to go talk to him, and they form an eclipse.

But the Moon eventually gets tired of him and goes back to the Earth.

That's why we only get to see a few eclipses every year.

The Sun keeps trying to get the Moon's attention, even if the deepest part of him already knows he will always be the second choice.

It feels all so wrong... yet he can't help but love her and hope that one day she will finally see in him what she sees in the Earth.

But can the Sun actually be at the Earth's level?

Earth is the planet of life: everything about her is so intriguing and fascinating.

And the Sun? The Sun... the Sun is the total opposite. The place of death and destruction. Nothing can survive the rage living inside him.

And maybe that's why, even people on Earth, on sunny days, wear sunglasses and bring umbrellas with them.

To make sure the Sun doesn't kill them with his heart full of anger, sadness and envy.

To not see him, because they hate him.

Like the Earth does.

And how like the Moon, after all, does too.

And how also does the Sun himself.

I'm not talking about the Sun and the Moon.
