It had been the middle of the day, months after the girl's 18th birthday, that her best friend suggested going to the club, one of the few they could afford. When the girl expressed to her that they are not old enough, the best friend said that she goes there all of the time, mostly because the owners of those low price places only go after the money and, as she said, don't have much morale.

And as it usually is with these mortal girls, she was convinced easily. That night she wore her finest small dress in the dark blue color of the deep sea water, allowed the friend to do her make-up best she could, and oh yes artist knew what she was doing.

All in all, the girl looked beautiful, even unnaturally so, if one could dare say such things in the world full of jealousy and envy.

The Fates truly understood what took over the impeccable control the sun god had for hundreds of years, carefully guarding his heart, if not his body - as his many children's existence spoke of his habits.

They also understood, when many did not, that the fate of mortals who's path crossed with the gods was never a happy one.

Especially when a god falls in love with you.
