I descended to my father's study, the tension between us palpable. He stood by the window, his back to me.

"Explain yourself, Rudra," he said, his voice firm but controlled.

I took a deep breath, choosing my words carefully.

"Father, I know this isn't ideal. But I had to make a decision. Ruhanika is... complicated. Our situation is complicated."

He turned, his eyes narrowing.

"Complicated? That's an understatement. You married a stranger without consulting anyone. What were you thinking?"

I held his gaze.

"I was thinking of protecting her. And ourselves. Ruhanika's past is... delicate. Marriage was the only way to ensure her safety."

My father's expression turned sceptical.

"And what about our family's reputation? Our business? Have you considered the consequences?"

I nodded.

"I have. But sometimes, difficult decisions must be made. I'll ensure this doesn't harm our family."

He sighed, rubbing his temples.

"Rudra, you're like your grandfather - impulsive and stubborn. But you need to understand the bigger picture."

I felt a surge of frustration.

"I do, Father. But sometimes the bigger picture requires unconventional decisions."

Our gazes locked, the air thick with unresolved tension.

Suddenly, his expression softened.

"Tell me about Ruhanika. What's special about her ?

"What's so special about her?" my father's words echoed in my mind.

As I gazed out the window, Ruhanika's face floated before me. Her bright smile, those expressive eyes, the gentle curve of her neck... My chest tightened.

Something about her drew me in, like a moth to flame. Her vulnerability, her strength, her unwavering resilience... It all captivated me.

Memories flooded my mind: our first encounter, her trembling in my arms, her tears, her laughter... Each moment etched itself into my soul.

I recalled the way she'd touched my heart, soothing the deep-seated pain. The way she'd listened, understanding without judgement. The way she'd made me feel alive.

My thoughts wandered to our nights together, her body nestled against mine, our hearts beating as one. The way she'd whispered my name, her voice a gentle breeze on a summer's day.

My love for her was all-consuming, a raging fire that threatened to engulf me. I craved her presence, her touch, her love.

"Khasiyat puchte hai sab uski mujhse,
Kya khash tha usmain jo ishq kar baitha,
Kya batau logon ko main uski khasiyat ke baare main,
Main uski khasiyat se nahi uske rooh se ishq kar baitha"
