When I woke up this morning, I didn't expect the day to turn shit. I was supposed to have an engagement photoshoot to do for this couple but at last minute they canceled. That wasn't the worse part but as I was packing my stuff back to my car it started down pouring the rain and now my car won't start. I've texted everyone I know to be fair its only like two people in the city that could help me. Ava, my best friend and saving grace since I've moved to Los Angeles, and Maya, my other very chaotic best friend. They are busy so I'm just stuck about an hour outside of the city stranded in the pouring rain. Thankfully, my phone is at full charge so I can listen to music until my friends can rescue me. I reach for my phone and put on my 5 Seconds of Summer playlist.

About 2 hours later I wake up to pounding on my window and I look and see a curly hair brunette, Ava. I roll down my window "took you guys long enough to get her to rescue me" I say to Ava and Maya who is already hooking up the jumper cables to my car. "Sorry, we were an hour and half outside the city the opposite way." Maya says as she pulls her long straight black hair into a ponytail. "Yeah, we were looking for outfits for the 5SOS concert next week. Are you sure you can't go J?" Ava asks me with puppy dog eyes as I step out of my car. Ah yes, the 5SOS concert that the band's socials have been blowing up with the promo for it. It was supposed to be a bestie date for the three of us, but I couldn't get the money for my ticket, and I didn't want them to pay for me. "Ava, I've told you I just can't afford it right now. I would love to see them live but it will just have to wait until the next time the are in the area." I say to her. Ava has a heart of gold and would give the shirt of her back to help someone in need. Maya looks over at us as she goes to get in her car to give me a jump "Jade, you know we could've got you a ticket. It wouldn't be the same without you. Also hop in your car I'm ready to give you that jump." Ava continues "Yeah J you are the one who got us into 5SOS you HAVE to be there." "I can't take y'alls money like that. There will be more concerts in the future. I'm good I promise." And just like that the storm clears. We drive back to the city, and we go to grab a bite to eat before we separate again.

I go looking at the local bookshops and pick up a few more books to add to my ever-growing To Be Read list. I end up in this small hole in the wall coffee shop. I walk up to the barista and order a salted caramel pumpkin iced coffee. When my order is called, I go over to a corner table and start working on some edits from another shoot I did a few days ago. The coffee is really good. I need to tell Ava and Maya about this place. I sit there for a few more hours and order a second coffee (decaf this time because it's already 7:30 p.m.) after I get my coffee and head to my car. I drive the 15-minute drive back to my apartment. By 8 p.m. my coffee is already gone and I'm cooking chicken alfredo for dinner. I sit on my couch with my plate of food and scroll through social media while I eat.

Ava: OMG J GUESS WHAT HAPPENED AFTER WE LEFT EARLIER!!!!
Maya: YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE IT!!!
Jade: Ava won the lottery and is moving away from us cause she secretly hates us?
Ava: WTF no why would you even think that. If I did win the lottery, I would bring you two with me
Maya: lol what the-
Jade: WHAT? Maya said I would never believe it and that's where my mind went.
Ava: lol no
Jade: Then what is it?
Maya: We found the perfect outfits for the concert!!!
Ava: They are perfect, and we will HOT!
Jade: I'm excited for y'all. Remember I want pictures and videos
Maya: Don't worry we will get plenty of pictures and videos of Luke for you.
Jade: I didn't say that...
Ava: We know you have the world's biggest crush on a certain Australian named Luke Hemmings.
Jade: That's besides the point. If I can't go to the concert, I would still like to experience it in some compacity.
Maya: Ok we will get you videos and pictures they won't be as good as your pictures but we will do our best.
Jade: That's all I ask lol
Ava: Love you guys I'm heading to bed
Maya: Goodnight love you Ava
Jade: Night guys love ya

I get up from the couch and put my plate in the sink and head to my room to get ready for bed.
