"Sweetie wake up," a calm voice said, interrupting my peaceful sleep. I rolled over on my stomach and covered my ears with my hands, trying to block out the voice.

"No come on Layla, you have to get ready for school," she said as I groaned and opened one eye to stare at my mom in annoyance.

"Can I pleeeease stay home today."

"No you may not; you already stayed home two days in a role for the move in. You're going end of the discussion," she said and walked away.

Ugh, I wanna stay home, I'm tired!

I yawned, and slowly started to close my eyes to go back into my peaceful sleep."

"Layla if you don't get your butt up right now, I will come up and get you up myself. Trust me if I have to, It won't be very good for you young lady!" my mother hollered.

"Ugh!"

"10, 9, 8, 7...." She counted down, as I ran upstairs and straight into my bathroom.

She's driving me insane I'll tell you. Lord

I stripped out of my cloths, and took a quick 10 minute shower. I wrapped a towel around me and went to my closet. I put on my ripped black skinny jeans, and a white t-shirt with my favorite red, black, and white plaid shirt and my black converse.

I walked in front of my dresser mirror, and tried to fix my excuse for hair. I looked like I had a big bus on top of my head. I started brushing trough my tangled hair, struggling more than ever until I finally got the tangles out. My hair is to my shoulders, and I have blond ends. It's an ugly mess.

"Layla are you ready? I can't be late for work," my mom shouted from downstairs.

"Yea yea, coming," I replied and grabbed my book bag, and ran downstairs into the kitchen.

"Want some toast?"

"No, can we just go?"

"Yea, you can head to the car, just let me grab the keys and I'll be right out."

"K," I walked outside and went to my mom's red Jeep. I hopped in the car and waited.

Skip Car Ride

I got out of the car, and started walking towards the school building.

"Hope you have a good day Hun."

Yea me too, I thought

I faced her, "Ya, bye," I waved and continued walking.

"Bye Hun," she said and finally drove off.

I walked into the building welcomed by, staring, laughing, and whispering. I see they haven't changed.

I was walking down the crowded hallway when a pair of heavy hands pushed me against the lockers. Pain instantly rushed through my back and spine. I moaned in pain, and looked up at the muscular blond haired boy.

"Layla where were you the past two days, I missed you," he said tucking a piece of my bush hair behind my ear.

I tried pushing him off of me, but he only tightened his grip on me, "let go of me Travis."

He started laughing then smirked, "Okay," he let me out of his grip. I looked at him shocked, and then started to walk away before he could decide to change his mind on this.

Wow he let me go; hopefully that's a sign of an okay day. I started to walk to my locker when a huge fist connected to the back of my head.
