Chapter Two
Zac woke up the following day feeling excitement and confusion as he looked around the bedroom for any signs of the mystery woman with whom he had shared an incredible night. The memories of their passionate encounter flooded back to him, and he couldn't help but acknowledge that the intimacy they had shared was beyond anything he had experienced before. As he replayed the previous night's events, he couldn't shake off the amazement at how the mystery woman had utterly exceeded his expectations. However, he was also taken aback by her sudden departure during the night, leaving him with a sense of intrigue and many unanswered questions.
Zac rose from his bed and made his way to his luxurious bathroom to begin his usual morning routine. However, his thoughts kept circling back to the stunning woman who had spent the night with him. Not only was she incredibly attractive, but the conversation they had at the bar before she accompanied him home was captivating. Zac was aware that the enigmatic woman he had shared the night with was younger than his twenty-six years, yet she was well-educated and could engage in thoughtful discourse. This intellectual quality was very appealing to Zac, as he admired a woman who was knowledgeable and driven.
Zac had never experienced the kind of connection he felt with the mysterious woman from the previous night. It was evident from the start that she was unlike anyone he had ever known. In the past, Zac had always been very guarded and had never brought a stranger into his home. He was exceptionally private and rarely let anyone into his life on a deep and personal level. However, the mystery woman had made him feel at ease, and for the first time, he had invited someone into his sanctuary. It was surprising for Zac to open up about his difficult upbringing to someone he had just met, but the mystery woman had listened attentively and showed genuine care. Despite spending only one evening together, it was clear to Zac that she wasn't motivated by self-interest. She seemed to be there simply because she wanted to be.
As Zac lost himself inhis thoughts, he suddenly realized that he had spent more than an hour in the shower. After getting out and drying off, he made sure to brush his teeth before leaving the bathroom. Heading back to his bedroom, he moisturized his-skin and selected his underclothes and a T-shirt. He then went to his closet and swiftly picked out a grey Nike sweatsuit to wear, which he paired with his sleek, all-black retro Jordans. Before leaving, he made sure to spritz on some of his favorite Gucci cologne.
Zac strolled downstairs to the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee in his cozy kitchen. Not feeling particularly hungry, he reached for a wholesome granola bar from the well-stocked pantry. With his phone in hand, he meticulously scanned through his to-do list, a mix of business and personal tasks that awaited his attention. Despite it being a Saturday, his day was filling up quickly. A long-overdue haircut appointment with his best friend Tony awaited him at the local barbershop. Running low on groceries, he swiftly placed an order on Instacart to restock his kitchen. As he continued perusing his list, he noticed a crucial three o'clock Zoom meeting scheduled with potential investors, an opportunity that could potentially shape the future of his side business - a marketing firm.
While Zac scanned his to-do list again, he got an incoming call from his friend Nate. Before he answered the call, he said a quick prayer because even though Nate is his boy, the nigga is always into some shit, and Zac wasn't feeling like any bullshit at the moment.
Zac: Hello?
Nate: What up, my nigga. What's good with yo ass?
Zac: Nothing much. Getting ready to head out to Tony's shop to get my hair cut.
Nate: Ight nigga. I was calling to see if you wanted to hit up that new strip club called Exclusive. My homeboy is having a birthday party tonight. You trying to come through?
