Is This How It ends?

Is this how it ends?
I write down your tears, my fears
And you despise me for it,
I had my anger, you tried to mend it
As I shout it's not nothing,
even if I can't commit.

There was love
But it was vulnerable to rust
There was intimacy
But you called it lust

You tried to mend what was shattered
But didn't see what truly mattered
You way of deriving to a result
Just added more layers of our mistrust

In the end
I sat there by the window which you painted
With the words you left
And my blood stained pages
With your swears still echoing in the air
With my hand still throbbing from where I bled
But you won't believe it was fair
Until you tear down those promises into shreds

I drowned in your ocean eyes
Now gasping for air as the truth collides.
