"Michelle! Michelle!" Willow called out excitedly to her best friend.

"Yeah, Willow?" Michelle asked, getting up from where she was, walking to meet Willow by the front door.

"Look at what was in the mailbox!" She said, holding out the item. It was a new sketch book and a paint set with some canvases.

"Oh, Willow, that's amazing!" Michelle exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hands in excitement.

"Except.. I don't know how this got there. All of these items combined are over $100, and as much as my mom loves to support me with my art, the most she usually gets me is a new set of colored pencils, maybe some crayons, and paper. So, I don't think she got all of this for me" Willow muttered. "And that's the thing, if she didn't get this fit me, then who did? Because I've only told a few people about things that I really want, and those people consist of my mom, Jonathan, some teacher, and.. you." She finished, looking up from nowhere in particular, finding Michelle's eyes.

"Michelle.. Did you.. Did you buy all this for me?" Willow asked with wide eyes and a small smile.

Michelle looked back into Willow's eyes. "Well, I mean, you never stop talking about how cool it would be if you had this art supply and that art supply." She says, fidgeting with her hands. "So, I got my mom to take me to the store and I picked out all of the things that you said you wanted, but then my mom told me that all of it was too expensive and that I had to put some stuff back. So, I kind of sat in the store for another thirty minutes, contemplating what to keep and what to put back. And, all the stuff that you were asking for isn't in there, but it's most of it, and-"

Michelle's yammering was cut off by a tight hug from Willow.

"Thank you, Michelle. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Even if all of what I asked for isn't there, it's completely fine. I asked for a lot anyway, and I wasn't really expecting anything from anyone, but you went out of your way to get all this for me, and that's all that matters. A gift from the heart is everything I could ever ask for. Thank you." Willow said, hugging Michelle even tighter.

Michelle chuckled, patting Willow's head. "If you hug me any tighter, Willow, I might die from suffocation." She said, returning the hug carefully as Willow loosened her grip.

"Well that can't happen." She said, looking up at Michelle and frowning. "If you die, who would buy me crazy expensive art supplies?"

"Oh, so what you vocalized just now meant nothing?" Michelle asked teasingly.

"What? No! Of course, it meant something." Willow quickly defended. "Just, yknow, I think what you did was very nice, and I appreciate it very much."

"If you're trying to persuade me to do what I did again at a later date, there's no need for that. If you need something, I'll always try my best to get that for you."

Willow's mouth grew into a goofy grin, and Michelle couldn't help but smile back down at her.

"You're such an amazing friend." Willow said, pulling Michelle back into a tight hug.

"Thank you, thank you. Some may even say that I'm the most amazing friend to ever live." Michelle gloated.

Willow pulled back again and brought her hands up to hold Michelle's face and leveling it with her own. "You're so dumb it's amusing." She said, giggling.

"Happy to see someone understands my humor." Michelle said, blushing at the new closeness and ruffling Willow's hair playfully.
