I just stood there in shock. Did Kylo just call me his babygirl? Knocked out of my daze Aria asked, "OMG, did Kylo just call you his sunshine?" Aria's eyes were wide and they were flickering between me and Kylo's retreating figure turning the corner. "Yeah, he did. Or I think he did," Hazel said replaying the previous moments in my head. I was interrupted when the bell rang. "Fuck, we're late," Aria grabbed my arm and dragged me to class. We hurried up and sat at our desks before Miss Tam could notice we were late.

I couldn't concentrate on anything I kept replaying Kylo's words in my head. "See you around, babygirl." What did that mean? Did it mean anything? Why did he smile at me like that? Was it just friendly or was he flirting? I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Kylo was fucking sexy as hell but I'm not the one that would fall for a guy after he flirts one time. I quickly brushed it off doubting that Kylo calling me his babygirl actually meant anything. He is a high school boy and high school boys flirt with every girl they run into.

At lunch today I took my usual seat outside underneath my favorite tree. There is a small picnic table that my friends and I have claimed as our own. I sat there with Aria and our other friends Jen and Kelly. "Did Hazel tell you guys what happened before our first period today?" Aria asked while pulling her lunch out of her bag. "No, what happened?" Jen asked. "Nothing, I just bumped into Kylo Thomas," Hazel shrugged it off nonchalantly as she took a bite of her burger. "Yea, and then he called her his babygirl." Aria added and smirk.

"OMG, he was so flirting with you," Kelly said. "Yea, he flirts with everybody," Hazel says. She didn't need her friends getting too excited about something that most likely meant nothing. We moved on from this morning event and talked about other random things but my mind couldn't get Kylo out of my mind. After lunch I walked to my next class alone. I sat at my usual desk and took out my notebook. Then someone sat next to me and I heard that voice that stayed in my head all morning. "Hey babygirl," Kylo flashes a grin at me. "Hey," I smiled back at him. "I never got an apology for earlier," Kylo said.

"An apology for? Why would I apologize to you? When you were in my way. Plus I'm the one who fell on her ass not you," Hazel responded back. "Ouch, that almost hurt more than when you walked straight into me babygirl," Hazel round her eyes. "Well then, I'm sorry," Hazel said her voice clearly dripping with sarcasm. "How could I ever make it up to you?" Hazel continued. "Get dinner with me," Kylo said. He said it so easily like it didn't mean anything. "I'm sorry, What?" Hazel asked looking at Kylo weirdly. "Get dinner with me. Or are you deaf, babygirl?" Kylo chuckled a little. "Hazel, my name is Hazel," Hazel corrected him.

"Right, Hazel. So dinner. When are you free?" Kylo asked. Hazel was honestly speechless. "I, um. I just, uh. I'm not really looking for a relationship right now." I knew the blush was creeping up on my cheeks and it would be obvious to him. So I tried to hide my face. "Who said anything about dating?" Kylo laughed. "Two friends can't get dinner together?" Kylo asked. "Are we even friends?" Hazel asked. I immediately realized how bitchy that sounds. And the expression on his face was unreadable. But then he put a smile back on his face. "Well, I guess we need to get to know each other better then." Kylo was so hellbent on this dinner. Hazel couldn't refuse. It was a nice offer plus it's just as friends. That I could do.
