FIVE YEARS LATER...
"Izuku Alexandria Midoriya, you have been sentenced to"
"Death in the stockades, Yeah, I know." I interrupted the reader.
One of the guards that were holding me down slapped me hard across the face, likely leaving a mark. I could hear my family wince as they watched silently.
"You shall spend a week being tortured-"
"Oooh, so scary!" I said sarcastically.
The guard slapped me again.
"In the palace dungeons, where you shall not see the light of day!" The reader bellowed.
I rolled my eyes as the guards held my hands behind my back and led me to the dungeons.
"Enjoy." The guards said as they tossed me into a large cell.
"Well, at least it's spacious," I said as I dusted myself off.
3 days later
I awoke to the sound of metal against metal. My cell door is being opened.
"Well, well, well. It appears you're trapped."
"No shit Sherlock." I retorted to the prince, unafraid.
"Trapped in here with me, nowhere to run.." He said darkly, drawing a knife.
I double over laughing.
"I do not need to run, Katsuki."
His dark smile faltered slightly but quickly repaired itself.
"Because I'm not trapped in here with you."
The prince was slowly creeping closer to me. A grave mistake.
He didn't know what was coming.
"You, my friend, Are trapped here with me."
—--------------------------------------------------------
Katsuki's eyes widened as he found himself pinned against the stone wall, the knife against his neck.
"If I lose my temper, You lose your head," I said threateningly.
Katsuki whimpered, his tough-guy facade melting away.
"This is exactly how your mother looked before she died," I said with a short smile.
"He did nothing wrong."
"Sure, except for the fact she terrorized the country, no big deal."
Katsuki's breath was heavy.
"Please don't kill me, Izuku."
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't."
"I did nothing wrong, I don't deserve to die, Izuku. I gave you so much!" Katsuki begged, shaking out of fear.
"YOU GAVE ME NOTHING!" I shouted, my voice echoing off the stone walls.
"I gave you a son."
My heart skipped a beat. I thought of little Akihiko, probably bundled up in Kaarina's arms, sleeping soundly. Katsuki had gone to private school, undercover, so he could get a better education, and not be cooped up in the palace. One day, Katsuki asked me on a date, and well, that date resulted in me getting pregnant and having Akihiko. Me and Katsuki's son. Akihiko, of course, had no idea he was royal, and he wouldn't for the rest of his life.
I looked at him. Then the knife. I sighed and loosened my grip. Katsuki sank as tears slid down his face.
"Get out."
He was silent as he retreated into the shadows, but not before handing me a small slip of paper.
