Author's note: Sorry about how short last night's chapter was. I may not write as much as I'd normally do for other stories because I am not preplanning the chapters on a Google Doc. I hope you still enjoy this story in general.

12 years later

It's been 12 years since Melody and Chase both accidently fell into the Recycling bin. Ever since then I have been trying to make it to the big world. Lou still has a lot to complain about me. All of them are directed to my kindness. Seriously, I think this guy is stressed. I've been trying to pass the Gauntlet but it's always something going wrong. I'll either have paint, gum, the mechanical baby will throw me across the floor, something always messes me up.

This is like hell but I'm not giving up. Melody and Chase wouldn't have. I get up from bed and turn to the only two pictures I have of them.

"Hey guys, today could be the day since today is the Gauntlet for what feels like the millionth time. Wish me luck."

The pictures stare as I do my business and wish that Melody and Chase were here. I am always told that there is no point in trying since I always fail. I don't listen to them. In fact, that makes me the odd one out that reads books, practices endlessly in the practice area, hangs out with "uglies", and the list goes on. Lou is hiding something. Some big emotion that is just out of sight.

I then hear screaming and run outside and ask a doll beside my house, "What's going on?"

"Something really ugly!" the doll says, running away.

I go outside and see some peculiar dolls. They don't look ugly. What the heck are these people talking about?

"Must be a customary greeting here," the red bat says and then screams at a doll that then faints.

I giggle a bit by how these adorable dolls could make a whole group of dolls go away from them. The blue dog then comes to me, quickly sets up a table with champagne, and says, "Hola mi amor. ¿Tú vienes aquí mucho? (Do you come here a lot?)" (Spanish speakers, please do correct me if my translations are not right. I am using Google Translate because I can't speak much of Spanish.)

"Sí, normalmente leo un libro o trabajo duro antes de que empiecen las clases. (Yes, usually I read a book or work hard before class starts.)" I reply back.

"¿Estarías interesado en una cita conmigo? (Would you be interested in a date with me?)"

"Tal vez no pero podemos ser amigas. (Maybe not but we can be friends.)"

"Huh, she's bilingual yet she didn't wanna date me," the blue dog said in surprise.

"Still, another swing another miss," the orange one said bluntly making the blue dog slump a bit.

"You guys are adorable. Where did you come from?" I ask.

"It's somewhere called Uglyville. We all have unique things about us," the pink one said, bouncing around.

"Guys, come on! You are too fast in exploring!" a familiar Australian accented voice shouted.

That's when I knew it was Melody and Chase. Melody had let down her orange hair in summer waves that made her look beautiful. Her devil red eyes held the same gleam as when she became friends with me. Chase's dark cerulean spikes were still fresh and his cobalt blue eyes were stuck on me. Their eyes were locked on mine.

"Melody, Chase, is that you?" I finally say.

Instead of replying, they hug me tight. I hug back too and we cry happy tears. Finally Melody says, "I've missed you so much, Dara! You haven't changed a bit in looks."

"I thought you guys accidently fell into the Recycling bin."

That's when their eyes became dull with anger. "So that's how that egotistical brat is telling it as? I'll tackle him down the first time I see him!"

"Go for it, Chase. I'll be right behind you on that."

"What do you mean?"

"You see... it started off with an unexpected visit," Melody started.

Melody had been talking with Chase after Dara went to her own home. "So then I was like 'Dude, I'm not a damsel in distress for you' and he went off with a frown on his face. You should've seen his girlfriend's face when she found that guy cheating her for me."

A knock then interrupted what Chase was about to say. He got up and opened the door. It was Lou. He looked mischievous with a mysterious glint in his eyes. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Don't give me that. I came here to show you both something," Lou said with his smirk.

And so Chase and Melody followed Lou into the pipes. Melody had a bad feeling about what Lou had to show. Finally they saw a pipe that had boards torn apart from it.

"You plan to recycle us don't you, you cocky retarded piece of cloth," Melody growled as Chase was merely confused.

"Aw c'mon, you knew that I was a charming and handsome," Lou said, his smirk turning evil.

"Not once in my life, you blonde buffoon!"

"Why are you doing this?" Chase said with his voice wavering.

"Because you both keep inspiring people, including poor Dara. No one needs your sliver of aimless hope because those dolls listen to me. They will remember me and me only. You can't take them away from me."

"You're a delusional pyschopath. You can't just control everyone like that. They have a life and they aren't just puppets to manipulate," Melody spat.

"Watch me, every single person that dated me has had their hearts broken and committed suicide. If I can use girls as a toy then I can definitely do this. But there is a way for both your lives to be saved."

Chase perked up as Melody frowned and glared at him. "You become my girlfriend. Stay with me and we can become an item."

Lou held her hand and Melody tried smacking it away but he had a tight grip. He then pulled her close and Melody tried fighting her way out. And then he leaned in to Melody and she tried pulling away. His lips then touched Melody's lips, so she had to give in and kiss back. Afterwards, she slapped his face and pushed him away harshly.

"Forget it, Louis! I will not be the girl of a loser who just wants perfection. After all, if I agree then that means I'm your toy. And I am my own person, not a doll," Melody stated coldly.

"A shame indeed. Well, hate to do this but I am being forced to," Lou said while coldly laughing.

He snapped his fingers and his Spy Girls pushed down Chase and Melody, hearing their screams.

"Curse you, Louis! I hope you get buried in a ditch and die, you ego invested gremlin!"

Present

"And so using a random piece of rope and a fishing hook, we escaped it when Lou left. We couldn't go back to Perfection so we wandered for ages until we found Uglyville. In Uglyville, no one stresses out on perfection but these poor guys don't know how to get a child," Melody concluded.

It was a lot to take in but then a voice asked, "Excuse me girls but who's Lou?"

And so the show began and both Chase and Melody were glaring at Lou, who had posed with a grin.
