CHAPTER 1: Fontaine?

It had been many days since I had suddenly teleported into this mystic world. The people here are so different from back home. Everyone is so kind, and accepting. Some of them even have special powers apparently. Keiko showed me around the town, and apparently I'm in a nation called Inazuma. She explained that the coins in my pocket seemed to be mora, which is the currency of Tyvat and is very important. Keiko also told me that my outfit seemed like a mix of Fontaine and Inazuma? Fontaine is some faraway ocean fantasy nation and it intrigued me greatly. I decided to take a ship to explore this newfound area. The way there seemed to pass in a blur. The ocean was calm and really helped me gather my feelings. As the land of Inazuma seemed to disappear out of view, the ocean stretched on and on as the ship sailed further and further. The ocean glistened as the sun radiated warmth and light. In the sky were tranquil fluffy clouds that gave shade on hot sunny days. Sometimes it rained, and my eyes watered with it as I remembered my family and friends back on earth. Oh how I wish to be on earth right now, although I admit I enjoy my current life, I would like to see them again. Would they be worried? Or would time stop while I'm away? I have so many questions, and no answers whatsoever.

10 DAYS LATER

After 10 days of traveling on sea, I was super ready to finally step onto the hard and steady land of Tyvat. The thought of it made me happy, as we docked I noticed the Keiko was in fact correct, this place is amazing. There were a remarkable amount of similarities between Fontain and France? The buildings there were spectacular to look at and this nation seems so much more advanced than Inazuma, with even robotic dogs and people? There was also a different type of statue here, with a young lady that instead of electro is hydro? I think I have hydro abilities, but I have never tried it out so I'm not sure. The buildings were mainly white with turquoise and blue. There were also metallic accents that tied the look together well. The clothes people wore reminded me of cyberpunk vibes with a mix of medieval and renaissance. Around me, waterfalls towered over the buildings and people seemingly disappeared into the ocean. As I got off the cruise ship I had a familiar sense? Like I knew it somehow? The docks had a smell of the salty ocean and the citizens chatted in the distance. I strolled in the marketing area for a while looking for a good place to eat. I decided to eat at a place called Café Lutec. I ordered 3 things: lasagna, Cream of Mushroom Soup, and Fonta. The lasagna was cooked fairly well, with a delicious aroma and had a Fontain specialty within it that I could not figure out. The soup went very well with the lasagna, it was thick and creamy with small pieces of mushrooms in it to give a preferable amount of texture. The Fonta tasted exactly like Fanta except with an extra amount of fizz and more of a natural orange taste to it. After a few days on the ship, I noticed my mora never seemed to run out and would always replenish after I took out a certain amount of it. So I'm rich, that would help a lot. Anyways, I paid my share and left the area feeling satisfied and full. I asked a few pedestrians about the place, and if there was a hotel nearby. Apparently there is! And close by as well, so I decided to get settled in, because I would probably have to stay here for quite some time. I wandered around for a while and finally arrived at my destination, the gorgeous Hotel Debord that had three domes for roofs and a beige and white aesthetic throughout. The extravagant vibe of the hotel mixed well with the tall ceilings and glossy floors. As I entered the hotel, I was greeted by a young lady around 20-26 with long brown hair and friendly green eyes. She bowed and led me towards the counter where she checked me into my room.

"Thank you for staying at hotel debord! Enjoy your stay and have a wonderful day!" She said as I walked away.

"Thank you!" I turned around and waved back to her. She politely responded and I left my room on the 4th floor. I got on the glass elevator by myself and arrived at the 4th floor. A long hallway was before me with a multitude of lamps and that lit up the dim hallway. I arrived at my room exhausted and messy. The room was dark, there was a queen sized bed with beige and white decor, the air conditioner was way too high so I turned it off. I walked into the room and checked out the bathroom and living area. It was very clean and tidy with all of the items in place and ready to use. On the counter there was a bottle of coke. I assumed it would cost money but since I didn't really have a problem with that I opened both bottles and drank all of it at once. After that I took a shower and went to bed feeling more drained than normal. I did not think much of it so I closed my eyes and fell into a deep slumber. By the time I awoke I noticed discomfort on my neck and on my lips. I went over to the mirror to see that I was covered with small but noticeable bruises all over my body, especially on my neck. Someone was in my room. I gasped, and checked all over the room but saw nothing except a small envelope on my closet with a necklace next to it. I grasped the envelope with shaky hands and gradually the words appeared into sight. 'Don't worry, you'll see me soon~' I dropped the letter on the ground and trembled to pick it up. After I processed the information I remembered that there was a necklace next to the letter. I grabbed it and carefully examined it. I was looking for any clues or insight of any kind. The only thing that guided me was the snowflake made out of metal. I felt like this would have been important in some way so I packed my suitcase and went to the lobby. There the women from yesterday greeted me and asked why I was leaving so early. Since she asked, I told her of my findings and she told me that a snowflake would indicate Snezhnaya, a kingdom north of Monsdstat. After I thanked her, I left the hotel and explored the city further. There were many people chattering on the sidewalks and kids playing in the waters nearby. At a staircase was a young woman around college years standing there sadly looking into the waters. She has anemo vision with her long hair tied back into a low ponytail. She was wearing a short leather dress with tall black boots. Her vision was on the bow that tied her hair together. I was intrigued by her and decided to ask her why she's there.

"Hello! My name is Kaedence, I'm a traveler from far away, I noticed that you look sad so I came here to see what was up. Are you ok?" I explained with a friendly smile.

"Oh... this is just a nostalgic place from my childhood. I came here to think..." she mumbled softly, with a flat expression. She looked at my unblinking with her large purple eyes and there we stood, in deep awkward silence.

"Where's your brother?" I asked, breaking the uncomfortable tension.

"Here you are Lynnette! I was beginning to wonder where you were," came an unfamiliar voice behind me. Then a young man approached us and stood next to the girl I assumed was Lynnette.

"Are you her brother?" I asked curiously. I mean, they do look very similar, but this man seems to be much more extroverted than the girl. He had a tall hat and short dusty brown hair like his sister. His outfit was like a magician with a juster aesthetic as well. He also had a vision, a pyro one to be exact.

"Why yes! This is Lynnette and I am Lyney, I apologize for my sister's lack of words. She tends to be quite shy, I am surprised that she was even able to talk at all to a stranger! No offense." Lyney said in both a sarcastic and sincere manner. He bowed politely, glancing up at me, with a look of curiosity.

"No, no, your sister has been wonderful to talk with, she is really nice." I nodded. "By the way, my name is Kaedence, a traveler from afar." I grinned, shaking his hand.

" It's not that I don't have much to say, it's more like you, brother, have way too much to say," Lynnette remarked with an equal amount of sarcasm.

"Well I was just curious– but I have to go now," I said as I scattered away. They waved back and soon I disappeared out of view.

LYNEY POV

"This girl is very interesting indeed. She says that she is a traveler, though she definitely looks very much from Fontaine. Even her outfit screams Fontaine. But why would she lie? There is no reason to... it's quite intriguing. I might tell father, if I see her again." Lyney thought to himself.

TIMESKIP

KAEDENCE POV

I soon found the ship dock where, I believe, can take me closer towards Mondstadt. As I've been here, I've heard Mondstadt is a simple town, giving it a more village type esc. For some reason I did not know why I thought it was familiar, I just do. It's like my memory is blurry and everytime I think about it my head feels like it's cracking open with a splitting headache. I get on the ride and sit there contemplating my existence and the reason I'm here. What was my purpose for being here? Why me? What did I do? I don't even know about Genshin Impact. After awhile I fell asleep, this was going to be a long ride wasn't it. I woke up on a bed? This is definitely not the ship. I got kidnapped.
