Nicole.

I slammed the pale blue locker as I heard Quinn yelling my name.

"Nikki!" Her voice boomed throughout the crowded high school hallways.

I chuckled to myself and turned to face her, she looked happy.

"I'm coming over afterschool to help you get ready for your first party!" She said giving me a quirky smile.

"Quinn, it's not my first party. "

"Yeah right, counting your brothers eighteenth birthday." She started, I huffed under my breath.

"Nikki, I'm serious, this is your first actual party being with our friends." She nudged my arm.

"And boys.." She said giving me a playful smirk.

"Oh shut up Quinn." I said playfully. She was right though, I'm just not the party type. Quinn and I are polar opposites, I guess that's why we get along so well.

"Nikki?" She said pushing me a bit, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"By boys I meant a certain boy who's practically obsessed with you.." She said stopping at her car.

"We're not talking about Cole right now." I say switching my tone from playful to serious.

"What about me?" A deep voice asks from behind me.

I cursed at myself in my head, slowly turning around to be met with dark brown eyes.

"She was just talking about the party, you know, whose all going. You are going, right?" Quinn said, saving me.

"Yeah I am." He smiled
"You're actually going to be going to a party, Nicole?" He asked, clearly shocked.

I just nodded opening the car door and getting in.

"We'll see you later, okay?" Quinn said getting into the caras eell and shutting her door.

When we arrived at my house we grabbed our things from the backseat and walked up to the front door. I opened the large red door, kicking my shoes off and yelling a quick hello to my mom and dragging Quinn up the stairs.

"Quinn, I never asked but what's your costume?" I asked, curiously.

"I'm going to be Superwomen." She said with a wink.

"You did get me a costume, right? I mean you said you would but if you couldn't I can-" I started rambling.

"Relax, I got your costume, go in the bathroom and change." She said handing me a bag.

I walked into the bathroom and saw the pure white angel costume. I laughed quietly, that's why she kept calling me an angel all week strangely but of course as a joke. I put on the small angel costume and stepped out of the bathroom. Quinn stood there in her superwomen costume looking flawless, as always.

After I stepped out of the bathroom Quinn began doing our hair and makeup, a few hours later we were ready to leave. We walked down the stairs and into the kitchen writing my mom a note telling her about the party and how I was staying at Quinn's for the night. I pulled out my phone to check the time and it read 9:36.

"Are we going to be late?" I asked worried.

"Wow. Relax Nikki, we're fine." Quinn said trying to reassure me, stepping into the car.

We arrived at the house a few minutes later, I stepped out of the car and looked at the house. The house was about 3 stories with bright flashing colors pouring out of the windows. We walked in and the smell of alcohol and smoke filled my nose. I grabbed Quinn's arm trying to stop the uneasy feeling in my stomach as we began to walk through the crowded people in the house. Quinn lead us into the kitchen and grabbed herself a can of sprite from the fridge while handing me a water bottle. The best thing I love about Quinn even though we're sorta completely opposite from on another we aren't big drinkers which is a relief. When she handed me the drink I mumbled a thank you and studied the inside of the house. It would be a lovely house if you took out all the teenagers and empty bottles cluttering any empty space.

"Hey." A voice slurred into my ear. I turned around and saw Cole. I sighed and looked at Quinn, silently begging for help with my eyes.

"I'll leave you two alone." Quinn said walking away. I felt sick to my stomach as horrible scenarios raced through my head.

"Relax will you Nikki." He said grabbing my wrist.

"Cole, you haven't been drinking, have you?" I asked nervously.

He slipped a piece of paper into my hand smirking and walked away as some guys called his name. I looked at the paper and it had his number on it. I chuckled and went to find Quinn, she was arguing with a blonde girl who was shouting back at her. I tugged on her arm and asked her if we could leave, she agreed and we made our way back to her car. We drove to her house, by the time we arrived it was only about 11:00. We quietly stepped into her kitchen just incase her mom's were awake.

"How was the party girls?" Jenn, one of Quinn's mom's asked.

"Pretty good." Quinn answered grabbing an apple and walking up the stairs as I followed close behind her and made our way up to her room.

"What'd Cole give you anyway Nikki?" She said jumping onto her queen sized bed.

"His number." I said groaning and rolling my eyes.

"Text him, right now." Quinn said jumping up and making her way over to me.

I got my phone out, not even bothering to protest, and typed his number in.

"What should I say?" I asked.

"Say hey, damn Nikki have you ever had a conversation with anyone besides me or your book club nerds?" Quinn said laughing. I mumbled a yeah and fiddled with my thumbs.

"Give me your phone, I'll text him." Quinn said rolling her eyes and sitting down next to me.

"What're you going to say?" I asked watching her type a message. She showed me the screen and the message read, hey Cole ;) x.

"He's going to think I'm flirting with him!" My phone buzzed and I jumped to grab it, grabbing it before Quinn could.

11:15: hey Cole ;) x

11:17: Cole? Who?

11:18: Damn, how drunk are you? lol

11:20: Who are you and how did you get my number?
