i was in my room finishing some late homework i had. i had to keep my grades up so i can go to this concert ive been waiting for. it was a sugarhill ddot, and my mama knows ive been itching to see him perform for a minute. but i have to keep my grades up. i was in my brothers room while he was on the game. me and my older siblings always got along.

my sister was next to me, on instagram fussing with someone. i was too busy to care who it was, ill ask her later. just as i was on my last question on my work, my sister grabbed my phone and paused my music that i was listening to on my airpods. "huh?" was all i said. she sat my phone down and went back on her phone. i gave her a weird look and went back to my work.

i finished my last question and i turnedmy work in. i went on my phone and texted my mom asking if she was okay being as she works at night. she didnt reply right away so i knew she was working and not on a break like she always is. "lanie" my sister, eveangeline callled to me. "what?" i asked. "if you were to date any rapper, who would it be, and dont say-"

"ddot" i say cutting her off. she rubbed the bridge of her nose in annoyence. she got up and went to her room. "tought crowd" i say before leaving my brothers room and going to my own. i closed my door and hopped in my bed. i went on instagram and the first post i saw was ddots, like it was waitng for me. the post was about his upcoming show in baltimore.

i was so excited, because i know my mama already got them tickets. but she think i dont know. but this would be my 2nd concert ever, my first was the gag city concert. but its like no one wants to come to baltimore and its so annoying. i hearted the post and scrolled down. after doing that for some time i got bored and sleep all of a sudden. i plugged my phone up and went to sleep

the next morning, my mama woke me up by shaking me very hard. i bounced up in fear. "girl calm down" my mama said like she didnt just shake me like the house was on fire. i didnt say anything which caused her to fake mug me. "i got something for you." she said pulling out her phone. i thought she was finna show me a text that one of my teachers sent me ngl. she showed me two tickets to the sugarhill ddot concert with star bandz and dd osama.

i was so excited i hugged her so tight and thanked her over 10 times. she said she got two for me and my bestfriend. she trust me enough to be able to get an uber to and from all by myself. i wasn't even listening at the last part i was just screaming on the inside.

she left my room and i picked up my phone and face-timed summer. she answered on the last ring, looking like she didn't sleep in ages. "what the f*** do you want?" i mugged the camera. "let's try again..." i said, now waiting for a better response. she was about to say sum but she paused. "yes zo'lanie?" she said scratching the back of her head.

"good girl. but MY MOM GOT US THE TICKETSSSS!!" i yelled excitedly. she started screaming too, earning a shut up from her older brother. she rolled her eyes and began to silently scream. i laughed and told her ill text
or later or sum. she nodded then hung up. i was tewww excited.

the concert was in 2 days and i had to find sum cute because my mom got us front row seats (i luh her). and i needed to look good for ddot. bc like what if he look at me and want me or sum?? i immediately started to pick sum out.

as i'm looking summer texted me. i look down at my black iphone 15 plus with a big hello kitty case on it.

hearty 💝: wanna go shopping tomorrow so we can match?
me: OMG yesss. oh and ask your mom if you can stay over!!

hearty 💝: she already said yes 😂.

me: get out..😂
