Since losing Lee things for this family seemed to fall apart or go astray. 

Kayce's fucking ass came back and I beat his ass as did Rip for two different reasons.

Dad took Rip's job as foreman and age it to Kayce cause he wants Kayce to run this place and I plainly told him Kayce could run a gopher through a tunnel much less this ranch with out fucking it up.

But dad wanted what he wanted so he gets it.

I had moved Rip's things into my place and before any mother fucker could try to talk shit I surprised everyone.

I walked out to the corral and seen dad, & Beth watching the guys.

I opened the gate and walked in closing it behind me before looking at me sister and grinned. and like a great twin she is she just smiled and nodded her head as if she knew just what I was gonna do.

I know pops was likely to be pissed but I don't give a shit. 

I whistled loudly gaining all the ranch hands & Rip's attention.

I walked towards the center stopping short before I got there.

"Rip baby can you dismount and come here please?" I asked

 he did as I asked and walked over.

I looked up at him as he moved his shades so I could see his beautiful Hazel eyes.

I licked my lips as everyone watched us. 

"you and I have spent endless amounts of time together, even as you worked for my father. you never had treated me different like most of the others, you are very appreciative, understanding, dedicated, caring, devoted, & loving. When I lost my best friend you were there for me, when I felt like I had no body you were there showing me that even when it felt as if I were alone you'll always be by my side.From the day I came home from university to now you've been there for me and you've stuck by me, you've shone me so much, and I have called madly in love with you more then I ever thought possible. because I had thought you couldn't love anyone more. but then I have and I will never ever regret it. I don't care that you are a ranchhand. I don't care that you are employed by my father. you are not defined by that Rip. I love you and I will always love you for the rest of my life. So now I will ask you Rip Wheeler will you please do me the honors of becoming my husband?" I asked

he looks at me shocked before looking towards my father.

"don't answer based on his expression or words. reply with your own. and be fucking honest" I say

He looks back at me

"i'd love to marry you" he says

"But?" I asked

"I don't believer Mr.Dutton would approve" he says

I looked down and nodded my head before looking back at him.

"all you had to say was no." I say before I walked off feeling like a damn fool.

Beth came over to me and wrapped her arms around me.

"for the record Rip she's mention this plenty of time to dad and Dad told her he'd not oppose since he's witness countless times you being there when she needed someone the most. so I hope you're really fucking happy" Beth says before we walked off.

I headed to my clinic and just moved on which is one of the things I learned from my mother and one my own when it comes to this family.

"you can cry and have emotion Kayley" Beth says

" Beth in this family you have to move on with your life. and if he doesn't wanna marry me I wont force him. he wants to use our father as a damn fucking excuse then so be it. I will continue on with me day. but so help me if any mother fucker speaks a word of this I'm beating the shit outta them with the exception of dad" I say

She nodded her head and just sat with me until someone walked in.

I looked up and seen Dad and Rip.

"what can I do for you two gentlemen?" I asked

"Rip here has something to say" dad says

I looked and noticed Rip has some cuts that wasn't there before.

I sighed who done it?" I asked

"that would be Kayce" dad says

I as well as Beth was shocked as well as surprised.

"Rip" Dad says

"I take my anwsr back." he says

"don't say yes cause it was beaten into you" I tell him

"I was gonna say yes but I didn't know how Mr....I mean John would feel about his old foreman now ranch hand marrying his daughter." he says

I looked at dad

"did you have a look of anger when he looked at you after I asked him?" I asked

" no I had a blank experssion. so he couldn't tell" he says

"so why did Kayce fight him?" I asked

"cause I was being stupid" Rip answered

"Dad?" I asked

"the walk over here I told him how he needs to fix this fuck up cause he is the only ranch hand I'll ever welcome as a son in law" he says

 Rip walked over to me and cupped my ace tilting my head up.

"please forgive me and allow me to change my answer?" he pleaded

"you change it there isn't any going back cause one we are engaged you'll never leave. I will not give you up or allow anyone to think they have a chance. I've been though hell with you, iv'e shared so fucking much with you, and I'll not loose it." I tell him

He looked at dad

"can you get a officator here in two days?" RIp asked

"of course" Dad says

"fuck it let me get certified and I'll marry you two" Beth says

I looked at her and smiled

"go and do I want this woman as my wife before night fall in two days" Rip says

Beth smiled an walked off to do just that.

"where are you gonna marry?" dad asked

"in the cemetery where Lee and Mrs. Dutton is laying at rest" Rip says looking back at me

I looked at him and got tearry eyed

"you sure?" I asked

"since Lee cant be here in body I want him and your mom to be with us in sprit." he says

I grabbed his face and kissed him while dad walked otu the door to go and get things put together for a Dutton wedding.
