“SO, SHUBMAN GILL,” althea started, fixing her microphone. “team india and especially you had done exceptinally well today, congrats for your win!”
“thank you, lo— althea,” shubman corrected himself, as he tried his best to not to crash his girlfriend, althea into a hug.
“well, this match had gone quite thrilling, and this is your first win against australia in t20i series as a captain, isn't it?” althea asked, trying to maintain her composure.
“yes,” shubman nodded, suppressing a smile. “i actually am proud of the team's performance, we did our full best and— uh, our efforts paid off.”
“we were quite determined to finish this game early,” shubman went on. “everyone cooperated quiet well, and we gave our best in our performances.”
althea nodded at his words, listening to him intently. shubman truly dedicated himself into the game — and with patience and understanding of the game, he gave out his true self out there playing in the field.
