miraculous, wisconson doesn't have much going for it. a gas station, a dollar store, a diner that has questionable standards, but a killer grilled cheese, and as of recently, the whirlwind of the cullen family.

the picturesque sleepy little town is nestled among towering evergreen trees, rolling green hills, and cultivated farmland and when the cullen's arrived, of course it sparked a roaring frenzy of thirst-quenching gossip, scandalous rumors, and nasty whispers flowing through ear to ear, lip to lip.

the one-horse town gained a new doctor, one they desperately needed- a young and handsome one at that too, but clutched onto him, much to the town bachelorettes dismay, were his six teenage children. a dreamy blond doctor was certainly the topic of discussion, but the chaotic wave his teenagers brought to miraculous high school was another.

strikingly beautiful individuals who seem flawless in every aspect of their being. the school hadn't had this kind of gossip since the old principal was found guilty embezzling grant money to fund his swinger's cult.

naturally, the bombshell arrival of the cullen family reached cherry's studded ears and she too, quite quickly, fell in the infatuated trance the family casted. how could she not be enamored by the cullen's? they look like they just strutted out of a vogue magazine.

their outfits were something straight out of her dreams. their sense of fashion and luxe made her closet quiver in shame. so effortlessly stylish while simultaneously casually sexy. if old money could have a face, it would be the cullen's. cherry couldn't help but be drawn to the family's appeal like everyone else, but unlike everyone else, cherry was the only one they welcomed into their icy arms.

five weeks now she's been in the hospital and for those five weeks the cullen's have become like a second family. five weeks since that jaw dropping, fashionably fateful day when alice and rosalie peaked their pretty faces into her room and she couldn't be happier. who knew a hospital would be her saving grace?

"and then it spilt all over her!"

cherry gasps, "no!"

"yes!" alice's throat roars as her head throws back. "it was that real sticky kind of orange juice too, you know, like the one where no matter what you touch it's now sticky and you're still sticky?"

"oh my god, i would harm someone violently just to catch a glimpse of her face."

alice snickers, "wish i had my phone on me at the time, but at least i got to see it so i could tell you."

cherry holds her hands to her heart, "i appreciate it, alice. you officially made my week. next week i hope she spills kerosene on herself."

the two giggle together. it's been this way since she was first admitted to the hospital. the cullen's go to school, a cullen or two drops by, tells her the stories of the day, laugh about it, rinse and repeat.

"i hear you're finally getting out of here?" alice asks with that familiar gleam in her eyes. cherry happily nods, "dr. cullen says tuesday. i'm hoping he's right, i don't want to miss homecoming!"

alice beams, "ah! i completely forgot! we need to get you a dress! i'll bring some of mine over and i'll bring some catalogues for inspo! i'll bring rosalie too because she's better with hair and shoes- i'm better with fit and accessories."

cherry smiles softly, "that's so sweet of you, alice. i don't know what i'd do without you."

alice hums kicking her feet in the air, "you'd definitely be bored. and you'd have an empty hole inside you knowing you'd never hear about karina soaking in sticky oj in front of everyone."
