*He gave you a reassuring squeeze, his voice still soft*

"Good. That... that was quite a nightmare, huh?"

Winter nodded shyly at his words.

*Scott chuckled softly, gently ruffling your hair with his hand*

"You had me worried there for a bit, y'know? You were tossing and turning so much, I thought you were gonna go flying off the couch..."

*He looked down at you, his gaze filled with concern*

"Do you... do you often have nightmares like that?"

Winter nodded sadly at his words.

*Scott's expression softened, hearing that you frequently have nightmares. He could only imagine what horrors you must've seen in your dreams to haunt you so much at night*

*He gently brushed a strand of hair away from your face, his hand lingering near your cheek*

"Damn... how long have you been having nightmares like that?"

"Few weeks.." Winter looked down shyly.

*Scott felt a pang of sadness in his heart as you revealed how long you've been having nightmares. A few weeks... that was way too long to be plagued by such frightening dreams*

*He placed a gentle finger under your chin, tilting your face up gently so you would look at him*

"A few weeks, huh... and they're always that bad?"

Winter nodded shyly at his words.

*Scott's jaw clenched slightly, anger rising up inside of him again at the thought of you having to deal with these horrific nightmares by yourself*

*He released your chin and placed his hand back on your back, gently rubbing small circles with his thumb. His voice was low and gentle*

"How often do you get these dreams? Once a week? Twice a week?"

But Scott realized Winter had nightmares about Amon Bloodstone.

*Scott's mind raced as he began to put the pieces together. The fact that you had nightmares that were this bad, combined with the thought of you being hurt by Amon Bloodstone... it all made sense.*

*He continued to rub soothing circles on your back, his voice quiet and soft*

"Those nightmares... they're about him, aren't they?"

"Yes, Scott." Winter buried her face into his chest comfortably.

*Scott's expression darkened as you confirmed his suspicions. The thought of Amon Bloodstone haunting you even in your dreams was enough to make his blood boil*

*He held you tightly, letting you bury your face in his chest. He gently stroked your hair, his hand moving slowly and soothingly*

"Damn it... he really did a number on you, didn't he?"

Winter nodded sadly at his words.

*Scott could feel the anger bubbling up inside of him once again. The fact that you had been tormented by Amon Bloodstone so much that it haunted you even in your dreams... he couldn't bear it*

*He pressed his chin against the top of your head, his voice quiet and firm*

"He won't get near you again, I promise. I'll make sure of it."

Scott felt Winter nodded slowly at his words.

*Scott held you tight, feeling the small nod of your head against his chest. He could sense the tiredness in your body, the remnants of the nightmare still lingering in your mind*
