Making Friends

Soon after the incident I was sent home, Catherine was sweet but she could never be my friend. I gave her my number just in case In case she wanted to get to know me {stupid I know} but you never know. Soon enough she texted me to arrange a meet up at lunch. She knew how lonely I was and wanted to be nice I guess.

* At Lunch *

I looked around for Catherine but didn't see her. I assumed she ditched me and was on my way to leave when I bumped into her. She seemed suprised and held me for a while. I didn't enjoy the hug because she was shaking and cold. Although it was like 80° outside. I figured she was just feeling a bit down today. " Are you going to get some lunch?", I asked while looking down at my tray. "NO, I mean no..no..no" she repeated. "Are you ok" I asked worriedly. " I'm fine" she lied. I didn't want to get involved until I was at least friends with her for now we were " acquaintances".

We sat down at the nearest table while I studied her shaking hands. She looked around staring at people's trays, while shaking her head. " Do you want to go?" She asked nervously, I shook my head slowly while chewing my apple. We got up and made it about five feet away from the cafeteria when she collapsed.

I panicked not knowing If she was dead or not. I yelled out for a nurse and soon after a supervisor came over while checking her pulse. I looked around the Cafeteria not sure what I was looking for. But nothing out of the ordinary except for the fact that my friend just collapsed.

* At The Nurse's Office*

She was set on a table until the ambulance got here. At this point I was just worried the ambulance wouldn't make it in time. Because this bitch didn't know what she was doing. She had checked her pulse at least 5 times in the last minute. Suddenly I heard sirens and saw red flashing lights outside...
