Welcome to Pitch-a-Fic, a monthly creative activity where your imagination takes center stage!

Are you a fanfiction reader looking for new stories to add to your library? Or maybe there's a story you'd love to read, but you're not quite ready to write it yourself? Perhaps you're an aspiring writer searching for fresh ideas, or you're eager to discuss a concept you've been contemplating for a while.

Whatever brings you here, Pitch-a-Fic is the perfect place for you!

Pitch-a-Fic is all about inspiration and connection — building a space where writers and readers can collaborate, discuss, and create together. Ready to join in? Your next favorite story could be just a pitch away!

On the 8th day of each month, a new chapter featuring a prompt or concept will be published in this book. Once it's released, it's your turn to let your creativity flow!

Everyone is welcome to join in—whether as a reader, a writer, or both. Your task is simple: Use the prompt to suggest or recommend a premise for a fanfiction. Your premise could be targeted towards a one-shot, a series, or just a single chapter. Unless otherwise specified, the format is entirely up to you, so long as it aligns with the prompt.

You might suggest a premise for an existing fanfiction you've read and enjoyed, or propose an idea for an entirely new fanfiction that hasn't been written yet, but you'd love to see come to life (or are planning to write yourself).

When you have a premise, write a 250-300 words pitch describing your recommendation or suggestion and post it in the comments section under the prompt chapter.

After sharing your ideas, other participants are encouraged to provide their thoughts in the comments. For existing stories, this could be a review. For new stories, it might be encouragement to see the story develop or additional suggestions to build upon the idea.

Additionally, if existing stories are recommended in the comments, we may choose to highlight them in the prompt chapter the following month as suggestions for others to explore.

The intention is to inspire. Participants who are writers may use this to explore and refine story ideas, knowing they have interested readers waiting for this kind of story! Participants who are readers may use this to find reading recommendations and propose stories that they wish to read.

1. All comments and pitches made should be in English as we are an English-run profile.

2. Any pitches made should have a correlation to the prompt and be commented in the comment section for the associated chapter.

3. Any pitches should be targeted toward fanfiction. Stories suggested or recommended that are not fanfiction-intended will be removed.

4. Pitches and comments should be written in a way that's appropriate for everyone. Please avoid using explicit, triggering, or offensive language. Keep things constructive.

5. Your idea for a story must abide by the Wattpad Content Guidelines.

6. A pitch length should be between 250-300 words.

7. To ensure recommendations and suggestions are credited properly, please format your pitch as follows:
