Jungkook paced nervously in Taehyung’s apartment, his mind racing. The weight of everything that had happened between them was pressing down on him, suffocating him. Taehyung had taken things too far, flirting with Lily, playing games in front of him like it didn’t matter. Like *he* didn’t matter. And yet, Jungkook wasn’t even sure who he was angrier at—Taehyung for doing it, or himself for caring so much. He clenched his fists, feeling his heartbeat pound in his ears as the door finally swung open. Taehyung stepped in, his expression unreadable, like he already knew why Jungkook was there, waiting for him.
“You really think this is funny?” Jungkook spat, not wasting any time. “Flirting with Lily in front of me, trying to make me jealous? What the hell are you doing?”
Taehyung smirked, his eyes cold, as he dropped his bag on the floor. “Oh, so it’s working then?”
Jungkook's blood boiled at the casual tone in his voice, the way Taehyung acted like this was all a game. “Cut the crap, Taehyung. This isn’t a joke. You’ve been messing with her—messing with me—and I’m done with it.”
Taehyung’s smirk faltered slightly, his gaze sharpening as he stepped closer. “What’s your problem, Jungkook? You wanted her, didn’t you? I’m just having a little fun. You know, like you used to before she came along.”
Jungkook shook his head, frustration bubbling over. “This isn’t about her, and you know it. This is about you trying to control me, trying to keep me in your life because you can’t stand the thought of me being happy with someone else.”
The words hung heavy in the air, and for a moment, something flickered in Taehyung’s eyes. But just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone, replaced by that cold, mocking expression that Jungkook had grown to hate.
“You think I’m controlling you?” Taehyung laughed darkly, stepping even closer until their chests nearly touched. “I’m just making sure you remember where you belong. With me.”
Jungkook felt his stomach twist as Taehyung’s words hit him, raw and unfiltered. This wasn’t just about jealousy. It was deeper—something possessive and twisted that Jungkook had tried to ignore for too long.
“I’m not yours, Taehyung,” Jungkook growled, his voice shaking. “You don’t get to decide who I’m with.”
For a moment, there was a heavy silence. Then, in the blink of an eye, Taehyung’s hand shot out, grabbing the front of Jungkook’s shirt and pulling him closer. The tension between them snapped, and before either of them could think, fists were flying.
Jungkook shoved Taehyung back hard, but Taehyung was quick, his hands grabbing Jungkook’s shoulders as they crashed into the wall. They were both strong, their bodies struggling for control as they wrestled, grunting and cursing as they threw punches and pushed each other with equal fury.
“You think she’ll make you happy?” Taehyung spat, his breath hot against Jungkook’s face. “You’re fooling yourself. She’ll never understand you like I do.”
Jungkook gritted his teeth, pushing Taehyung off him. “You’re insane. You think this is normal? You can’t just—”
But before he could finish, Taehyung’s fist connected with his jaw, sending Jungkook stumbling backward. The impact only fueled his anger, and he charged at Taehyung again, knocking him into the couch. They struggled, rolling across the floor, neither one willing to back down.
Then, with a sudden surge of strength, Taehyung pinned Jungkook beneath him, his breath ragged, his eyes wild with something that wasn’t just anger anymore. It was desperation, a raw need that Jungkook could feel radiating off him.
“You don’t get it, do you?” Taehyung whispered, his voice breaking as he gripped Jungkook’s wrists tightly, holding him down. “I can’t let you go. Not to her. Not to anyone.”
Jungkook stared up at him, chest heaving, his vision blurry with pain and confusion. For the first time, he saw the tears in Taehyung’s eyes, saw the cracks in the mask he always wore so well.
Before Jungkook could respond, Taehyung leaned down suddenly, crashing his lips against Jungkook’s in a kiss that was as forceful as it was broken. Jungkook’s eyes widened in shock, his body tensing beneath Taehyung’s as the kiss deepened, rough and full of a twisted, suffocating need.
Tears slipped from Taehyung’s eyes as he kissed him, the weight of everything—his jealousy, his fear, his love—pouring out in that one desperate act. Jungkook felt his heart twist painfully, torn between the anger and the raw emotion behind Taehyung’s kiss. Part of him wanted to push him away, to scream at him for crossing that line. But another part—the part that had always known there was something more between them—froze, unable to move, unable to fight back.
When Taehyung finally pulled away, breathless and shaking, he let go of Jungkook’s wrists, but his eyes stayed locked on his, pleading, broken.
“I’m sorry,” Taehyung whispered, his voice barely audible, his tears falling freely now. “I’m sorry, Jungkook. But I can’t lose you.”
Jungkook lay there, speechless, his body trembling as he stared up at Taehyung, trying to process everything that had just happened. The kiss, the fight, the tears—it was all too much, too fast.
And yet, in that moment, he realized that things between them would never be the same again.
