"Furqan."I called gaining his attention which was on his phone a moment ago. "Yes, Zub?....Are you okay...the body pain....has it lessen and what about the headache...you still have it? Tell me Zub!." My crazy best friend bombarded me with questions, he surely loves me and I love him too but I'm not gonna tell him that to inflate his ego more.

"Relax dude, I'm fine but I wanna ask you something and I want you to reply me with honesty; remember our bro code? Brother's never lie to each other, right?" I said to him. "Go away dude, ask what you wanna ask, you know that very well that whenever I lie you caught me straight away, so there's no point of lying." He replied while chuckling. "Ok....so tell me did Ammu came here to check on me while I was unconscious?" I asked startling him, he definitely did not expect me to ask him such a question. "Zubair bro, what are you saying?" He said chuckling nervously. Now, I caught him. He rarely uses my full name; I smirked internally clearly enjoying his nervousness. "Really Furqan?" I said further."ofcourse, buddy...why would I lie?" He said trying to act non chalant; failing miserably though. "Cut the crap Furqan and answer me honestly." I said not hiding my irritation. I felt her presence like she was here with me holding my hand when I was unconscious because I has a moment of consciousness and at that moment I saw her and I know that it's not an illusion because Amir has been shifted to this hospital recently.
Yes,I keep tabs on her, afterall she's my wife and I'm scared for her safety that someone can harm her so easily and I'm not gonna let that happen. "Furqan! Answer me!" I said through gritted teeth. "Ok. Fine. Yes, Aminah bhabhi (sister in law) was here. And yes, she was worried sick for you but bro she's not gonna be coming back to you atleast not until Amir is well again." He shouted but at the end of the sentence his voice became a mere whisper. "I know she's not coming back Furqan, but she was here and that means a lot to me. You have no idea what I'm feeling right now." I confessed to him, feeling extremely happy that she cares, after everything she still cares for me. "You're whipped, buddy." Furqan exclaimed while chuckling. "I guess, I am." I confirmed with no shame; I love her and I'm proud of it.
"Umm....Furqan can you help me to get up man?...I need to pray."I asked him and he helped me to get up and I performed the ablution, after that I prayed Salat-al-Isha and then pray my kaza namaaz(when you leave an obligatory prayer, to compensate it you perform the kaza namaaz). However, I prayed while sitting because it was hard for me to pray while standing. After the prayers, I and Furqan had our dinner; for me, tasteless chicken soup and for Furqan; well the moron ordered biryani for himself. While he was eating, he kept on saying that how tasty the biryani is and I swear I wanted to stab him with the same spork he was eating. However, I restrained myself and finished this bland soup. Yuck!

An hour later, Furqan fell asleep while talking to me. I can't blame him though, he was on duty the whole day and during breaks he came to visit me, so, he deserves a little rest. And as for me, well, I'm wide awake. All the memories came rushing back to me taking me back to the past. When I met Ammu after this whole apology ordeal. I never expected to meet her like that though, but guess what? Things don't happen according to our expectations most of the time and I'm fine with it.

FLASHBACK (AMINAH'S P.O.V)

It's been three months since mummy and bhai shifted here and bhai's business is running smoothly...Alhamdulilah. Plus, mummy has joined a madarsa nearby where she goes to attend Islamic lectures on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays too. She totally adores the place. She always asks me to join her but due to my busy schedule I couldn't join her often. My exams were completed three months ago, results came just after a month of exams, I got 1st division and now, I'm a working woman...alhamdulilah. I'm currently doing an online job in which I have to edit applications of students who applies for  foreign universities. Its a good job and offers me a good pay too and the manager has said that with time my salary will be upgraded bht for that I have to upgrade my speed and skills too. Well, I never say no to a challenge.
Daddy and Amir bhai insists that I don't have to work, they'll bring me anything; I just has to say the word but I refused. I know that they don't mean it in the chauvinist men way but I always wanted to be independent and I'm happy that they respect my decision. Plus, since that day I haven't fought to Rushda Auntie; not even once. I'm never gonna disrespect her again, she's my elder and I know she doesn't mean any harm. I stay there; in my childhood home with her and daddy for four days and the rest three are spent with mummy and bhai, here in this beautiful place that has become like a second  home to me. It feels really good to stay with them. Alhamdulilah....I'm content with my life.
"Ammu?" Said mummy from downstairs. Yep!! I'm in my room which is upstairs. "Yeah, mummy, I'm upstairs." I replied loudly because this place has sound proof rooms, typical Amir bhai, always going for fancy things. "I'm coming down though, I'm hungry." I added while rushing down the stairs like a 6yr old. It always fun though. I come inside the kitchen and asked "what  are you making, ma?" "Coffee, sweetheart." She replied sweetly. "Okieeee....do you have some cookies?" I asked like a kid. "Ofcourse, Ammu, your love for coffee and cookies is well known by me." She replied while chuckling. "Acha (well) Ammu, did I tell you about my friends in the madarsa (a Islamic school)." Asked mummy, like an excited child. This time I chuckled and said "yes, maa you have told me about them twice already....what are the names?....ummm...yeah Auntie Saffiyah and auntie Arwa, right?" "I asked, the name Arwa sounds very familiar but I shoved that thought aside, there are a lot of people with the same name. "Yes, Ammu, you got to meet them someday, they both are so amazing." She said sounding so excited. "I'd love to meet 'em mummy but you know na my work, it keeps me so busy these days." I replied. "Ok Ammu, you know sweetheart....Arwa's son is so amazing masha'allah. He's not only handsome but also a very religious person, plus, he's so well mannered too." Said my mother, praising a stranger in front of me, very unnecessarily.
Daddy is better than mummy in this case, atleast he doesn't throw proposals every then and now on my face directly or indirectly. Since, last three months my dear mother had thrown three marraige proposals at my face directly. Yes! I rejected all of them. And now, this is the fourth one, which is indirect, but still it's a proposal. Ughhh! and my answer will be the same as the last three times, which is a NO, A BIG FAT NOOOO. "So, what mummy?" I replied to her in a bored tone. Like I care that he's handsome or whatever. I sighed inwardly. What's with desi mothers always worrying about their unmarried daughter's marraige.
"If Allah (S.W.T) has written marraige in my fate, then I'll definitely get married some day and if not then, it's alright mummy, don't stress yourself out please." I said in a soothing voice trying to assure my mother. "Ok, my child....but please meet the guy...atleast once...please, will you?" Asked my mother showing me puppy dog eyes...now I know from where did I got that convincing look from....aggghhh! Well, she continued "and you know the guy hasn't said yes yet. Do you know Ammu, when I showed Arwa your picture she was so delighted, do you wanna know why?" Said mummy a gleam is visible in her eyes...I can see she's planning my marraige in her head....Allah! Help me. "Ummm.....why?" I asked totally lost, while tugging my dark brown curl behind my ear, ofcourse a girl doesn't wear hijab inside her house infront of  her family. Mummy smiled so happily and said" because  sweetheart, Arwa knows you." Ya Allah! How does her friend knows me?"and how does she knows me mummy?" I voiced out my thoughts; extremely confused now. "Do you have a friend name,  Minal?" I nodded my head in a yes and sge continued "She's her mother and she told me that Minal got married two months ago and you even attend the wedding and you even met her but that time we didn't know each other so she didn't know that you are my daughter. What a coincidence na Ammu?" Said my mother, oh so enthusiastically and not to forget shocking me to the core. Ya Allah! If she's talking about Arwa auntie's one and only son then, it's definitely that Mr Judgy Zubair sahab.
Now, I know why did the name Arwa sounded so familiar, its Mina's mother, I met her a few times, she's a nice lady but how come she finds me marraige material? Allah knows best.

Fact:

Muslim girls nd women don't wear hijab in their homes, actually infront of their mahrams (like father, brother, uncles, grandfathers).

Mehrams basically can be explained  as people you can't marry, like the male relatives i mentioned above and well all females are mahram....lol 😂.

I know a lot of you people know bt I basically shared this info for my Non Muslim readers.
