( SUCROSE X ALBEDO )As the sun began its descent over Mondstadt, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Sucrose found herself immersed in her favorite place: the cafe garden. The air was fragrant with the scent of blooming herbs and flowers, and she busily arranged her notes, ready to test a new potion she had been working on to enhance plant growth.
The peaceful ambiance was soon interrupted by the soft chime of the café door. Sucrose turned to see Albedo walking in, his long, pale hair catching the golden rays of the setting sun. He exuded a casual elegance as he strolled toward her, a teasing smile already forming on his lips.
"Well, well, if it isn't the dedicated alchemist, lost in her little world," he said, leaning against a table with his arms crossed, a playful glint in his eye.
"Albedo! I was just—uh, working on my latest potion," she stammered, trying to keep her focus. "What are you doing here?"
"Just checking in on my favorite alchemist. I had to see if you were still alive in here," he teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Or have you become one with the plants?"
She felt her cheeks flush. "I'm fine! I just... really like working with them. They have so much potential."
"Potential, indeed. But I must say, you're much more captivating than any flower here," he said, stepping closer, his gaze lingering on her with an intensity that made her heart flutter.
"C-Captivating?" Sucrose squeaked, her voice barely above a whisper. She could feel her embarrassment creeping up her neck.
"Absolutely. But don't let it go to your head," Albedo continued, his teasing tone unmistakable. "We wouldn't want you to get too full of yourself. After all, you wouldn't want to overshadow your precious plants, would you?"
Sucrose rolled her eyes, attempting to mask her smile. "Very funny, Albedo. I'm just trying to create something useful!"
"Useful, sure. But where's the flair? You need to inject a little more drama into your work, Sucrose! Maybe add some glitter? A dash of chaos?" he suggested, his voice playful as he leaned in closer, lowering his tone dramatically. "Imagine it—'The Glittering Potion of Plant Growth'! It would be a hit!"
"Glitter? That sounds—messy!" she protested, laughing despite herself. "I'm not sure that's quite what I'm going for."
"Why not? Messiness can lead to creativity. Or at least some interesting results!" Albedo said, his smile widening. "You could set the stage for a grand alchemical experiment—an explosion of colors, perhaps? The audience will be begging for more!"
"Explosions are not exactly what I want," Sucrose replied, her laughter mixing with exasperation. "I'd like to keep my workshop safe, thank you."
"Safe is boring, Sucrose. Where's the fun in that?" he teased, poking her side lightly. "Just imagine the stories we could tell! 'Sucrose, the Alchemist Who Dared to Dream of Glittering Gardens.'"
"Okay, okay! I get it!" Sucrose chuckled, playfully swatting his arm. "You really like to tease me, don't you?"
"Only because it brings out that adorable flustered look on your face," he replied, grinning. "It's one of my favorite sights in Mondstadt."
"Adorable? Albedo, you're insufferable!" she exclaimed, unable to suppress her laughter. But beneath the teasing, she felt a warm flutter in her chest. There was something electrifying about his attention, even when it came wrapped in playful jibes.
"Insufferable? I prefer 'charmingly mischievous,'" he corrected, adjusting his posture with a smirk. "But I must admit, watching you get flustered is quite entertaining."
"I can't help it if you say the most ridiculous things!" Sucrose replied, crossing her arms defensively, though her smile betrayed her amusement.
"Then I'll just have to keep saying them," Albedo teased, leaning closer again, his voice lowering to a conspiratorial whisper. "Besides, you should know by now that I'm simply trying to draw out your hidden brilliance. It's like unearthing a rare mineral."
"Hidden brilliance?" Sucrose echoed, her heart racing. "I'm not sure I have any of that."
"Of course you do! You just need to embrace it. The world needs to see how truly incredible you are," he said, his eyes sincere for a moment before the teasing tone returned. "And maybe a bit of glitter wouldn't hurt!"
"Albedo!" she laughed, shaking her head. "I can't believe you're still on that."
"I'm just getting started, my dear alchemist," he replied, mock-seriously. "Think of it as a friendly challenge. We could have a 'Best Potion' competition—glitter optional, of course."
"Now you're just trying to distract me!" Sucrose said, though she was thoroughly enjoying their banter.
"Can you blame me? You're much more fun when you're riled up," Albedo shot back, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes.
"Maybe I'll surprise you and create the most brilliant potion ever," she declared, her confidence bolstered by their playful exchange.
"Now that's the spirit! I'd love to see you shine," he said, stepping back with a satisfied grin. "And if you need help—or inspiration—just let me know. I'm always here to tease you, of course."
With that, he winked, turning to leave but not before casting one last playful glance over his shoulder. "Just remember: a little chaos never hurt anyone. Except maybe the plants. Good luck, Sucrose!"
As he walked away, Sucrose felt her heart racing, a mix of excitement and warmth swelling inside her. The playful banter and teasing had turned into something more—a connection that made her feel alive. With Albedo's encouragement, she was determined to prove herself, glitter or no glitter. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and as the sun dipped lower, she couldn't help but look forward to their next playful encounter.
