Chapter 1 Nightmare
My head was pounding, I'd never run so fast but I knew my life depended on it. He was gaining but I knew I had to make it to the edge of the woods or I was as good as dead. "Oof" I landed on my stomach as he pulled my legs out from under me. Just before I could turn to see his face I jolted awake and looked around my room. It was just the same as when I'd drifted off, messy. It's the same nightmare every night. I always wake up before I see my attackers face.
My legs are sore, as if I'd actually been running. I carefully stretch my legs over the edge of the bed and begin to make my way out side like I did every morning but as I passed the window I did a double take... It was open and the sun hadn't even come up yet, my nightmares never ended before sunrise. I dismissed it and walked down the stairs taking two at a time.
I stepped outside, the wind brushed my bare legs as I stared up at the stars. Even out here I could hear my dad snoring. A chill shot up my spine making me gasp. It felt like some one was watching me. My heart rate quickened, I knew I wasn't being paranoid. I could see something move and panic began to set in.
Before I had a chance to react a cloth was painfully pressed over my mouth and nose. I tried to scream but the cloth muffled the sound. My breath came out in short pants as I tried to struggle against my attacker. My vision started to blur and darken then my body went limp and fell to the wet grass with a thud...
