The ship and crew that would bring the town supreme glory, they had called it Auctrix.

With a motto so fascinating, they had named it Auctrix.

------------

"How long has it been since anyone heard from Auctrix?"

"The Department of Posts say it hasn't responded in a while."

"Didn't they say that there had been a storm at the sea 2 days?"

"Yes! I heard the fishermen say."

"No way, has something happened to the ship?"

"We shouldn't jump to conclusions so fast. It has been but a month since the ship deported. It'd be foolish of us to assume anything."

"Yes, he's right. We shouldn't."

-----------

But a ship that would taint the town for years to come, Why had they called it Auctrix?

----------

6 months

It had been 6 months since that day of departure. The crew that had decided to aid Agnar Reynolds in unravelling a myth hadn't contacted with any of their families in this period of time.

The town of Mirac was growing anxious, the families were getting worried and the remaining Reynolds' were slowing getting backstabbed.

------------

Time passed and soon, it had already been a year.

Vena, though young, was very much aware of The situation. She was only 9.

At school, she would be neglected, ignored and avoided by all students. Afterall, no kid would want to be with a girl whose father had turned out to be a con artist who fooled an entire town. And even if they did, the parents would catch a hint of it and brainwash them into making them think of her as a villain too.

But was it her fault? Vena was only 9.

At home, her mother had grown overly caring for her. Initially, she had tried to fight against the discrimination From the school but no one had come to aid her. She had quietly resorted to try to assure that Vena gets all the love she deserves from her mother After facing countless defeats.

Over this year, the paintings by her mother were going unbought. They were soon going bankrupt. So, Maia Reynolds started to paint under an alias, Oriella Starkov, which was a combination of her middle and maiden name, to keep the money coming in to support her daughter and herself.

But that couldn't repair the damage.
