Beyond the Rift

Chapter 1!

         

Sonic the hedgehog, hero of Mobius tore through Eggman’s robots, crashing through them-he had to get to cream- he could feel his blood running warm and his joints tiring but he pushed on, the thought of the poor girl alone and scared made his fists clench and his jaw tighten, his anger keeping him going. The azure hedgehog was about to spin dash into a more larger bot when a punch to the face sent him flying, his back colliding with a tree trunk, the force knocking all the wind out of him he looked across the clearing to see metal sonic glaring at him (if robots even COULD glare) 

“Get out my way , metal..” he growled, 

Emerald eyes narrowed as the robot version of him simply shook his head. The robot crouched into a position -an athlete about to run the race of his life- as sonic did the same, blue electricity crackling around his body (something his robot counterpart couldn’t do and prepared for a fight. Without warning the robot version of sonic leapt into the air, metal fingers extending into knife-like claws ready to rip their next victim apart. As quick as a flash a certain blue hedgehog dashed to the side narrowly avoiding them. He quickly spun around delivering a clean kick to the metal torso, sending the robot into the air before you could even say ‘chilli dog’ Before the robot even touched ground however, a metal fist slammed into Sonic’s side, the blue hedgehog firing his screams getting quieter as he flew further away. Up above though, a certain orange-yellowy kistume flew above in the tornado, Amy in the back, bullets shot at the plane, the skillful fox manoeuvring the plane so he and the pink hedgehog girl wouldn’t get shot in the head. While this plan seemed to work out well the bullets shot into the plane. 

Amy shrieked “Tails there’s smoke!” 

“Don’t worry Amy!” Sonic’s brother and best friend said bravely “We need to get Sonic first!” 

He pulled back a lever, the blue plane flying at insane speeds to reach Sonic. As He was plummeting towards a rough landing, Sonic looked around him wildly to stop his very near death, Tails pressed a button on his console, causing a golden ring to fly out and for the young hero to catch it, with sudden Wonderful golden light shining off this body, Sonic spin dash into the now helpless robots, tearing through them and bouncing off, racing towards them.

Back to eggman, the evil genius was admiring the red light chaos emerald, tilting it at different sides and looking at it from all angles. The... politely said a large doctor turned his head towards his persol robots, were busy at the computer typing rather rapidly.

“Decoile!” the human barked, finding it ever so satisfying as the robot flinched ‘he should be scared’ he thought with a cruel smirk, but instead said “Make yourself useful and turn the egg carrier on lockdown so that blue rodent can’t get in and foil my plans!” 

Completely ignoring the yellow bot’s salute also followed by a ‘yesir!’ he laughed rubbing his hands together greedily. He only stopped however, when a brave rabbit (in what looked like a glass jar) glared at his with brave oval eyes, 

“You’ll never get away with this you-you.. Big bully!” she shouted these last words but the dr only tilted his head in her direction, an amused expression slowly creeping onto his face. He carefully moved over to the...rabbit girl....cackling all the way, he crouched down to meet her level “oh really?” Feeling annoyed how the rabbit didn’t cower, but instead stood her ground. “Well who’s gonna stop you!” “ Cream pressed her palms against the glass “Sonic is gonna save me! And give you a big whooping!!” 

The girl was stalling at this point, just desperately trying to stop eggman from putting the emerald inside that weird contraption thingy.

Back in the sky, after giving Sonic the ring, the tornado began falling to the ground like a rock dropped from a skyscraper. He and Amy screamed all the way before a giant grey boulder stood in their way, 

“ROCK!!” Amy shouted (very unhelpfully) “don’t crash into it!” 

And when it seemed like that was it, a white gloved fist with two spikes on the end smashed into it, causing the rock to crumble with a loud ‘CRACK’ Sound and send large chunks of debris flying everywhere, almost hitting the two younger Mobians in the face.

‘knuckles!” Tails cheered “Thank you!” When the Echidna only replied with an annoyed grunt, Tails stopped smiling “Knuckles….?”

“I put everything on lockdown sir!” Docile said. “But it seems like Sonic has destroyed almost all of your robots already….”

Eggman narrowed his eyes “why does that Sonic always get In my way!” 

Cream hugged her chao to her chest and spoke up again “why else, Dr. Eggman! It’s because you keep on doing bad things!” 

“Phoney!” The human snarled “it’s too late! When I put this last chaos emerald into my machine, it will have limitless power!”

“Don’t! Sonic would never allow anything like that!” 

Eggman smiled smugly “All the walls have been closed! It would be impossible for even Sonic to…break it down (this was a very bad choice of words by the way because at that moment, the door literally exploded.) 

“Sonic!” Cream looked up, still sniffling, but there was hope in her eyes. The younger rabbit had tears streaming down her cheeks, the once beautiful dress she wore now ripped and tattered. 

Eggman stood there dumbfounded “uh oh..” but then he smiled showing shining white teeth. “However…..” He quickly shoved the emerald into the slot and slammed the glass tradoor down and pressed something down next to it before pulling out a button “I guess you were a bit too late..” He laughed evilly once more. “All I have to do is press this button”

Sonic smiled, “So all I have to do is take it from you first?” 

Lasers from above trained on the blue hedgehog 

“Why don’t you give it a try then?” 

He charged forward, eyes focused on the button eggman was holding, but before he could do anything along the lines of saving the whole universe thing, he swooped to the side avoiding getting sliced in half by the lazers, running up the walls before jumping in front of his arch-nemesis. Eggman quickly caught what was happening (i mean with an IQ of 100 how could you not) and started trying to order his robot to not shoot, but, it was too late. Sonic quickly dived out the way, eggman having to duck to avoid getting shot. 

“THAT’S IT!” he roared and then, he pushed the button…

Soo….I know it’s short but I wanted for this to be like the prologue, you get what I mean, If you liked it maybe you could give me some ideas to make Sonic x different, but please do cuz idk if I should even continue…
