EMILY'S POV .

It was a 6 hour drive . I keep watching some reels on internet . Suddenly got a call from my bestfriend Sarah .

Sarah : hey friend , how are you feeling right now ?

apparently Sarah got a scholarship to go further her studies . In just a few years she will be a qualified nurse . Everyone has their own journeys , as long as one is happy that's all that matters .

Emily : oh hey friend , actually I am just okay yk , complaining won't really help because I am almost there . You know the only thing I am hoping right now is for me to actually have a relationship with my dad .
Sarah : your father is a good man , he was young and I know everything will work out . Trust me .

we kept conversating and it was now time for me to get off.

Emily : Sarah , we will talk okay . I really have to go now . I love you so much friend
Sarah : okay babes , all the best . I love you too

We disconnected the call and my dad , his wife and also a little girl were standing outside waiting . I approached them and they gave me some welcoming hugs which kinda made me feel calm .

Wife : oh hey I am Janet , your wife's dad and this is my baby girl Sofia .
Sofia : hey . * waving *
Emily : oh hey , I am Emily . I am sure you guys know me although we have never let before . I really appreciate the welcome .
Wife : you are like my daughter . now let's get inside before the food gets cold .

We got inside the house , Dad was quiet this entire time . I can see shame written all over his face .
