Context: This takes place a bit after Lars gets stuck in space. A side plot of Steven Universe!
Chapter One: 1:40
"I'm going back to see lars guys, I'll catch you later!!" Steven says waving at us. I hate seeing him leave but he's not a little kid anymore so I have to be okay with it.
"Bye Steven be safe! O-oh and don't get abducted again please!"
"Pearl stop babying him, it's not like he wanted that to happen."
"Well I know that! I just..I just get so worried!" She's so annoying..
"He is an adult now. We have to let him be independent. Pearl I need you for mission. Let's go. Now."
"Of corse Garnet!!" She prepares herself to leave.
"Can I come?" I tilt my head to the side.
"No. We don't need you, I just need Pearl. You stay here and tidy up." Garnet and Pearl leave swiftly. I don't even get a word out before the portal light comes and goes. Why am I being babied?
"Ugh fuck this! I didn't make this mess! ..well I did but I'm not cleaning it up." I walk out of the house, going to the big donut. I don't really want to eat, but I don't feel like being alone. I walk in and it's only Sadie. Even though I know he's in space, I still get surprised when he's not there..but it's honestly better that he's gone
"Hello welcome to the big donut! Oh Amethyst..hey I uh wasn't expecting to see you. I thought you would've been off with the gems.." She looks so pretty..
"Yea the gems left me again, but just gives me an excuse to be with you." She turns red, covering her face with her hand. I didn't mean to be so forward..whoops.
"Amy..y-you can't just say stuff like that! What if someone walked in!"
"They won't, it's just us no need to worry." I walk behind the counter and hug her, but I quickly get pushed away.
"S-stop! Not here..someone could walk by and see..
"Shit sorry.." I step back to the front of the counter. "Have you even gotten any customers today?"
"N..no but that's besides the point um just not here..please..."
I sigh, but I don't want to make her upset so I agree silently. "So when are you off the clock dummy?"
She smiles "You know this by now, silly. I'm off by 2 so we can go in ten minutes."
"Sweet! I don't mind waiting!" I run to the back, Sadie hesitantly stumbles after me.
"Amy! Y..you don't want to go home? You'd just be back here alone..."
"You kidding? It's only 10 mins. I like watching you close anyway." What am I saying?? It still makes her blush as she walks back to the front as I find some trash to munch on. Time passes quickly. Only one more person stopped by before Sadie closed up.
"Okay I'm ready Amethyst." She said putting her bag over her shoulder, holding a small bag of donuts.
"Sweet! Is it uh..really okay I come by? I know how your mom is." I say as we start walking over to her house.
"She's uh actually out of town, so it won't be a problem." She seems nervous being with me..I don't know why.
"Oh cool! Hey uh...are you okay?"
"W..what do you mean?"
"You seem very nervous and hesitant around me. I'm just wondering if I did something.."
"No! No you didn't I'm just um..very new to this whole thing."
"Oh! Yea I get that then..just let me know if you're ever uncomfortable or something."
"G-got it.."
I guess this is new for me too..I've had crushes on the gems sure. Garnet is hot, and Pearl is annoying but I love the way it feels when we're fused. We only just started dating, but I've never liked someone this much, Especially a human..
