Siobhan was sitting in a restaurant enjoying her coffee. She found a nice little coffee place not far from her home. She found she could relax here while enjoying her morning coffee and do some light reading or even work a little.
She found herself every morning craving the peace and quiet of the place, not sure what it was, but she liked it. Plus, the woman behind the counter was weirdly attractive. Although she knew she liked women, she always had a certain look she was attracted to, most of the time, it was put-together women in suits that caught her attention. Not to forget, she was still with Roger, not that she was particularly happy with that. Since she moved in with Roger, he had shown his hidden side.
But this woman had a boho vibe going on, a free spirit. She had beautiful long black hair, which she decorated with flowers every morning. Her clothing was different every day. Yesterday she wore a green pants with black sneakers and a black T-shirt. She wore a lot of necklaces, sometimes with stones, sometimes with symbols. The day before that, she wore jeans with a white T-shirt.
Today she wore a long, wide black skirt with black sneakers and a shirt with a quote on it:"Normal is an illusion. What is normal for a spider is chaos for a fly," - Morticia Addams."
She wore a few necklaces as well, moon-shaped earrings, and her hair was half up today with some purple flowers in it. A few playful locks fell in front of her face.
She had a beautiful smile, which was always there.Siobhan wondered if it was just a work smile or if the woman was always this smiley. She could feel a strange sensation when she was near her, something she couldn’t figure out. Siobhan snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a voice very close. She looked up. It was her, the woman she was thinking about. A slight blush appeared on her face.
"Hello, darling, can I get you another coffee?" the woman asked her.
Before Siobhan could think, she answered,"Only if you make it." The woman smiled and said, "Ah, you like my coffee, eh?" and smiled even bigger. Siobhan smiled back and said,
"Yes, and you also make it the fastest." She tried to pull herself together and gave the woman a sturn look, hoping she wasn’t giving herself away. The woman looked at her, still smiling, and gave Siobhan a long stare.
"You don’t need that mask in here, darling. This is a safe space, and you can try to be yourself a little," she said with a soft tone and that same vibe that Siobhan didn’t recognize.
How did she know she had a mask on? How did she know she wasn’t just like this? Siobhan opened her mouth to say something, but before she could, the woman said,
"Let me treat you to something sweet with your coffee," and as she walked away from Siobhan’s table, she gave her a wink.
"My god," Siobhan whispered to herself. "What is happening?" she then asked herself. Her mind was racing. Was she losing her masks? If a stranger could see she was wearing one, how about Roger? Would the siblings see it too?
Before she could think any further, the woman was back with her americano and something sweet."See, that was really fast," Siobhan said to the woman who was placing her coffee in front of her, along with a little pink plate with a small moon-shaped purple cake on it. She didn’t know what it was.
"What on earth is that?" she asked, raising her eyebrow. She looked closer.
"Why is it purple?" she asked, looking up at the woman."That is my lavender chamomile moon cake. It will make you feel more relaxed, I promise," she said with a very big smile and walking away again.
Siobhan watched her as she walked away. She looked beautiful with her flowy black skirt. It was as if the wind was in the building, dancing with her skirt and her beautiful long black hair.
Siobhan kept watching her as she helped other customers, admiring her from a distance when suddenly the woman turned her head a little and looked right into Siobhan’s eyes, giving her another wink and a big smile.
Siobhan quickly looked back at her table, feeling her face go red.
