The lake

Reece, Authum, and Marjorie were standing in front of the nursery. "This is bad," Marjorie said.

"Sadly, it was just a matter of time, I’m afraid," Authum said while turning around and walking back into the nursery.

"I’m going back to my nursery, gorgeous. I’m going to fill in Mia. If something ever happens, we’ll need her help as well," Reece said to Marjorie.

"Okay, that sounds smart. Will Siobhon be okay?" she asked. "She’s smart, so I think so. But my father is a sneaky one, so we need to be on the lookout for trouble. Stay safe, beautiful. I’ll see you tonight," Reece said and gave Marjorie a kiss and a hug.

Marjorie walked back to the office where Authum was behind her computer, typing away.

"What are you doing?" Marjorie asked her. "I’m sending a report to my father. Just in case it helps Siobhon," Authum said. "Ah, okay, smart," Marjorie said.

"I’m glad she’s with Regina now. I didn’t know those two knew each other. Did you know?" Authum asked Marjorie.

"No, no, I didn’t know that either. I’ve never seen them together. She was even driving Siobhon’s car. Regina must have her reasons for that, I think. If she knows about this situation through her visions, that would explain it. Which is crazy because she told me that she only has visions of people she really knows and cares about," Marjorie said.

"But Charlotte and I are seeing Regina tonight, so I’ll ask her about it. Do you want to come too? It’ll be fun, just us four girls together," she asked Authum.

"Oh, I actually like that. Winter isn’t here tonight, and I don’t really feel like being alone," Authum said. "Oh, where is Winter then?" asked Marjorie.

"With his parents, but then again, I had no need for that," said Authum. "Ah, I understand. I’ll text Regina to let her know you’re coming too, and if that’s all right."

"Hey Regina, I was talking with Authum about our girls’ night tonight. Is it all right if she joins us? Love, Marjorie."

Marjorie went back to work.

Regina didn’t say anything and drove her and Siobhon to the forest with a lake. This was one of her favorite places, where she often came to think and relax. She had never taken anyone to this place, but it was the first thing she thought of when Siobhon asked for a place where she could breathe again.

She glanced at Siobhon every now and then to check if she was okay. Siobhon was on the edge of hyperventilation, but luckily she was much calmer now. Regina drove onto a small forest path.

"Jesus, where are you taking me? Should I be worried?" Siobhon said.

“Haha, no Siobhon, I’ll take you to one of my favorite places. There’s hardly anyone there, and it’s a nice place to relax and clear your mind,” Regina said, glancing over at Siobhon and smiling.

“Hmm, okay,” Siobhon said, turning her head to look outside the window again.
Five minutes later, they arrived at the lake.

“Wow,” Siobhon said, looking over at the lake. Siobhon was amazed. She gazed at a small lake surrounded by huge trees of different species. There was a little mist hanging over the water, giving the scene a gloomy look.

They both got out of the car. A small breeze blew, and Regina inhaled deeply, exhaling with her eyes closed. Siobhon noticed how Regina immediately seemed calmer. Siobhon mimicked her, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, slowly letting it out again. She immediately felt more at ease. They walked together to the edge of the lake.

Regina looked at Siobhon. Siobhon turned to Regina, and they stared into each other’s eyes.

"Siobhon, what do you need? Do you want to be alone for a moment, or do you want me to stay and sit next to you?"
